Ok, I think this is it. The more I think about this game the more I realized the mechanics that i could exploit. I'm not sure that I can go any further with it, unless I figure out a way to gain one pixel on a specific stage. At this point, I do not know of any other movements optimizations to try.
Admin or Judge, please ignore my previous post and use this new input file instead...which is 30 frames faster than the previous WIP.

Man, this game looks simple...but it can be very complicated to find frames, due to very detailed movement.
Here is what I hope is the last update.

Admin or Judge. Please replace the existing submission file, with the following:
https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/637945731822960789
This is a 2 frame improvement, which was an effort in restoring the 7 frames lost at the completion of Stage 31. I had hoped finding more cuts would have changed, what I think is a frame rule...but no success. :(
Ignore this, and see my next post below.

Excellent! Very tense situations, and tight maneuvering.
Finally glad to see one of my favorites destroyed with ease!

I second this...One loop will not satisfy the requirements for a publication; however, I am actually surprised to finally seeing a TAS of this game.
I'm giving you a Yes, because this was a favorite of mine.

I think out of all the work on this site, effort like this is what excites me the most. My opinion about TASes, is that something is always there to be found. This is one of those examples. It would be hard to imagine that another frame could be found. In my experiences, the amount of work grows exponentially to optimize inputs further.
I've learned, that when I see a submission from eien86, it is absolutely worth my attention.
Great job!

That is interesting. I did find that some stages don't end, when I expected them. Never noticed that though. I have been reworking this TAS, but I'm taking it super slow, since I really hate the idea of re-submitting a run over and over. So I'll give you a status on my findings...plus recognition in my next submission. :)

I kinda like the word "Rejected". It keeps me in check, as I try everything to avoid getting one. That way, you set a standard for people to follow.
I didn't like it that my first submission got rejected...so I tried harder, until I finally got a submission through.
scrimpeh is right..some work is just no good. We need to foster an environment that demands quality. For me...it made me very determined to never receive that type of stigma. So...keep "Rejected".

I knew this game had some crazy stunts, but this was a good showcase of glitches. I personally don't want to sit and watch almost 3 hours of glitches, but from the parts I have seen...really interesting.

I may be the odd ball here, but I never thought I would see the day where all the sand was removed from the play field.
I'm giving you a yes, only because I've had these kind of thoughts...wondering if it was possible.
When I played Mr. Do!, in my youth, I used to think of the same thing with that game as well. Now that I've seen this...I'm curious if that would also be possible.

Yeah, I decided to TAS this game, because it ended up being one of the 64 games pre-loaded on the C64 Mini/Max versions.
LOL The unfortunate side-effects of TASing. When I watch a human play this, it is quite slow with those noises being generated seldomly.
Thanks. I think I speak for DrD2k9 when I say...we believe this game could be optimized for the rest of our lives. It sorta like chess, where a newer idea is required to figure out a faster and more efficiency strategy. Between the two of us, we just can't figure up anything else...mainly because of RNG.

I don't know what it is about this game, but I sure do like. Now we have another port!
Always glad to see the work of another BOTer. I'm very intrigued at how these discoveries showed up. Some levels seem to have a weird memory corruption. I knew that when I saw another submission from you, it was going to be a good one.

Wow, cut 48 frames over the previous version. GG!
Loved this game as a child, still love watching it. Curious though, its puzzling to me that the previous TAS got mixed Yes/No votes, while yours it holding strong at Yes.
Well, here is another yes to a great classic.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. For one...there is the swinging vine, on the first stage of the SNES, that you have to wait for. In the Genesis version, its immediate.

I can't believe I thought this was going to be an easy game to TAS, back in 2021. LOL I have to say though...I enjoyed this rework. DrD2k9 is the real deal. Where I was concerned more with BOTing RNG to open up routes, he was able to study the movement optimization and produce results that made this TAS way more optimized than i would have expected.
Thankfully, I had learned a lot about controlling RNG the first time through. This time, I was able to be more creative with how I automated the appearances of the Yellow Blocks. Having to start over again was very daunting, but I'm feeling a great reward for putting in this extra work.
Next time...I'll ask DrD2k9 to judge my TAS privately before submitting! LOL
