It's not that it has to be perfect...just not easily beaten. By using the editor, this would have been easily seen and corrected. If you like, you can contact me directly and I can help you with any questions. Just use the PM button above.

FistaGames...if I understand this correctly, there are two different types of levels that I'm identifying. 1. Attacking as many humans as possible, within the 60 seconds for each round. Apparently, this time cannot be changed...as the goal is killing as many humans to increase your score. 2. Defending yourself against attacks, which the goal doesn't seem to be time oriented....but is set to complete the goal. Here, it seems that defeating the attacker only helps make the game faster. Correct?

I'm assuming that you want this submission to be discarded for judging?

I'm a little confused here. Why are you making new submissions, when we could be replacing your other submission with an update? Can you clarify this? If you want to produce an improvement, it would be better to upload your new file to the WIP/User File area and post it in the discussion thread. That way, our staff can replace it for you.

Can you modify your submission details to indicate what ROM you are using, when applying the v1.1 patch? Your inputs are not working at all, which makes me believe that I'm not creating the correct patch.

After reviewing your submission, you seem to have some concern with where it ends. Here is my synopsis: As long as the inputs complete the loop and brings it back to the beginning of some kind, then you are good. In this case, this would mean you can take that last pit and jump higher so that you can end your input earlier. From my experimentation, it can be ended 10 frames earlier. So your trimmed file, with the return back to the menu isn't necessary. There is no question, in regards to optimization...only how it ends. Someone can come back and obsolete this submission if you don't take care of that now. I've uploaded an updated movie for you to examine. https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638216777407005027 How would you like to proceed?

Here is what concerns me.
Playing closer to the top of the screen (within reason of course).
I'm just curious as to why this wasn't done on your remake. In my opinion, this jeopardizes your submission, since previously accepted TASes already do this. I commend you on cutting a ton of time, over your previous work....but this needs to be addressed.

Try running this TAS on Turbo, with the display turned off. You'll discover that you have your own personal Geiger Counter!

I had an idea that the C64 version could be improved, by ending input earlier; however, the Colecovision version took my attention away from this one, once I improved it. Good job on finding that DrD2k9. Please set to "New", for someone else to judge.

Yes, it is very touchy. Not hit box related, but the Commodore 64 has a built in sprite collision detector for when active pixels touch each other.

Its against site rules for me to provide any information on the location of rom downloads. However, I can give you confirmation on the correct rom usage. BizHawk 2.9.0 is giving me a green check mark, as confirmation of the hash of "Brain Lord (Japan).sfc". If you are seeing the same in the bottom left of the emulator, then we have the same rom. Additionally, I tried on another computer...thinking there might me something wrong with the one that I confirmed your run on. I also get the same desync. If it is not desyncing on your end, then my only other option is to get a confirmation sync from another judge.

I'm not really sure. Not all of them are TAS worthy. I'm basically picking out the ones that require more skill to play. There are 3 more that I have been working on that will be shocking though. I'm currently waiting on DrD2k9 to finish a request before I submit one of them.

I've updated this movie with a version that cuts 403 frames off, due to a jumping technique that I missed. I will get a new encode later.

Ok...I'm making a post in this thread to indicate that I have taken the last few weeks to get this movie completed. The original issue of optimization was corrected, but in order to satisfy a complete movie, the game needed to be played on Levels 1 through 12. Level 13 starts right back at the beginning. Address 0x3C is the level indicator and can be manipulated to confirm this complete loop.
