Project is near complete. So far, I already pulled at least 13 minutes off my first draft. But may I please have my account name changed to p0rtal_0f_rain?! I seek to submit this run under that name. And from there on, I promise that I won't ever ask for another account name change for a while. Please! Meanwhile, for me though, I got a lot to write about this run. :) Thanx so far!

BTW, I tried it and had two problems: (1) a post would get locked (even if a moderator never touched it) and I can't do anything about it and (2), the Edit button would sometimes turn a successful edit into a double-post. Moving on...

To say the least, I can put up an FLA that should contain the whole Flash script of this that I created so it can be later imported to AVI (which is possible in Flash CS4). BUT, I do not know if anyone around here even uses Flash for animation and movie editing, quite like I do.

Updated. It's now 60 fps. The goal here is to make sure the Doc does not shrug the whole time. Just throw the pill, hit the virus, shrug for less than a second (48 frames, which I thought would be good enough), and then go on with the emulator movie. Ya don't want to make ol' Bisqwit mad for breaking 120 frames (2 seconds) in a logo, or he can throw a pill at you! lol http://megaswf.com/view/f54cb6def936bca17f367c5e54e27b65.html I chose MegaSWF for temporary hosting because Photobucket disabled SWF uploading to free-bies, they suck.

That was pretty simple. In Photoshop, all I had to do was crop the top part of that virus and move it one pixel to the left, while leaving its feet on the ground. Of course you can't find that in the actual game, but it's no problem if you play with each pixel of certain objects with PS. I used Flash the whole time, and I know that allows frame-by-frame editing. Big thanx so far. :)

I spent most of the evening putting together an animation where I play with a little Dr. Mario, putting him and a virus in action before the 2-second mark. The frame rate is 30 for now, but I can always go back to make it 60. I like some feedback! Here's my latest upload... http://megaswf.com/view/f54cb6def936bca17f367c5e54e27b65.html Edit: I updated, so I changed the link.

Runs fine on FCEU 0.98.28 - I don't think the ROM nor the emulator seems bugged to me.

I do not know if there is an option like this, but if there is, which menu do I go to?

This will be one puzzle we'll have to assemble before we go on with this game - because there certain aspects of the game that the emulator can't handle. ~rolls eyes~ My next thought is re-programming PCSX to run LUA scripts to see if that might fix anything.

As many times as I played this on ePSXe, this game never froze or crash under the game nor the emulator. It's shocking that we don't have TAS features on that emulator.

Look, a certain game console has limitations. If the game puts too much pressure on the system, it is likely to lag, freeze, or even throw a program-error screen (like Tecmo Bowl). This is the first time I have seen a game that puts so much pressure on the system and later allow input from another controller to resume from lag.

Okay, I'm no stranger to this classic game. In fact, I still own the CD of the game. But it seems to be scratched to hell and back, it'll be a pain to try to pull an ISO off the disc for emulation. There are ten professional BMX riders, plus at least 2 hidden ones. There are also equipment, tougher bikes, video clips, in-game cheats, and 2 hidden BMX guys to unlock. There are also plenty of tricks and combos to pull, so I believe entertainment is everything. Don't just pull 360's repeatedly and expect to have your submission(s) accepted just for that. How long would it take to:
  • Have every BMX rider in the game collect all 12 medals (3 from Greenville, 3 from Woodward Camp, 3 from Pro Tour, and 3 from Acclaim Max Games) - including Slim Jim Guy and Amish Boy?
  • Execute all tricks as provided in the game, plus each rider's special tricks?
  • Actually play the game to unlock movie clips, in-game cheats, the 2 hidden guys, and such?
  • Constantly combining speed and entertainment as you make your input?
For some odd reason, this isn't about Tony Hawk posing as the Monopoly man where the player has to buy skateboards, equipment, and skate parks (properties) just to progress. This game makes it easy to actually earn stuff - all it takes is your skill and your performance. Another thing I already know. There are certain glitches in the game I noticed. Greenville - Vail Trails: lining up the rider right up against the corn field, and then rotating the rider for an awkward landing; is likely to place the rider on the "top" of the corn field. Greenville - Backyard Pools:There is a section that has 2 to three signs on the roof. Lining up the rider might likely warp him up there. Another one is at a jacuzzi where the green riding mower is at. There is a certain spot on the lip of the jacuzzi where the rider can warp to a roof where there is only one window. Pro Tour - Eastwood: There is a brick wall where the Slim Jim banner is placed. It should be easy to slip right next to it - an awkward landing right beside the banner should warp the rider to a mysterious rooftop. I might try to re-arrange a glitch video about this again soon. I look forward to seeing a TAS chip being placed on Dave Mirra's shoulder, which to me can be a beautiful thing. :)

I don't have the ISO or the emulator atm. Can anybody do a pre-encode, please?

I think NO$GBA ran this game as a ROM better compared to desmume. I think desmume froze the ROM up. And I always enjoy playing this game! Too bad it was japanese.

I tested what happened when HP reaches 0 and all enemies are defeated (even with Riou alone and no one else on his side of the party). No one gets experience, but the game does continue and everybody wakes up with one HP. I already tried it.
