I have an idea planned for the L'Renouille invasion mission (before the final boss). Miklotov and Camus can easily reach level 95 here if they're within 35.
When assembling the party, it has to be Riou with no more than 50 HP remaining at the least, having the Blue Gate rune equipped, and having at least 1 MP on LV 4 (X/X/X/1); then it has to be just him and (Miklotov or Camus) in the party -- nobody else, just the two.
Upon entering L'Renouille, look around for six Highland soldiers in battle. Riou uses Empty World spell (LV 4 Blue Gate spell) to kill himself and the Highland soldiers, while (Miklotov or Camus) remains alive. Miklotov/Camus should sky-rocket to above LV 90 at the least.
That's not all. How can Aladdin and Jasmine fly around freely in a magic carpet if they keep having debris (desktop icons) get in their way?! I mean, that's enough icons to knock both of them off...!
I did find an advantage of doing the Matilda glitch and leveling up earlier in the game.
If you complete the storyline of Futch and Humphrey's quest to take down Harpy at Rakutei Mtn., putting the hero at LV 35 or higher, that will give him a more decent duel against Amada once he gets to the dam at Radat. But if the Hero is underleveled and too weak, there is no telling he he'll stand up to Amada, and it will only take luck manipulation to do two things: beat the guy to pull the switch on the dam, and to gain him as a recruit.
Please get rid of this stupid robot... Talking about games that didn't make it to publishing is one thing, but ruining them with a useless robot doesn't always make common sense. ~rolls eyes~
For this game, it seems that Konami never believed that a perfect head-shot would do more damage than shooting the body. For that, you can't score life-ending head shots in MGS. However, you can score head shots in Syphon Filter.
Everyone, beware. Just like Willow and Magic of Scheherazade, Uncle Fester also has one constant speed (the only exception is taking a hit that will cut Fester's speed in half and no one wants that).
If that is possible, then Millie's points of location would concern me. Before Rikimaru is recruited, Millie would walk around the southeast section of Ryube. After Rikimaru joins, Millie would re-locate herself to the northeast section of Ryube before entering the woods.
On the other hand, if it's possible to go straight into the woods to reset the fallen bird's nest; take action to recruit Rikimaru; and then recruit Millie after beating her pet-boss; then maybe that will be enough time for Shiro and Kinnison to show up. But no matter how that part of the game is planned, there can be a little concern. I understand.
Woah! Of course you can skip the scene where Nanami is escaping with A and Jowy from Kyaro, but I thought we can get through the game without her. I guess the game has to find some way to bring her in, in the later run.
So now we know that it's "A", leader of the "A" Army - and maybe when he reaches North Window, he'll call his home the "A" Castle! :-P
Of course, some of us became familiar with special agents Gabriel Logan and his bedmate Lian Xing. Syphon Filter started off with a special operation where Erich Rhoemer was Logan's target. While Rhoemer leaves behind a lot of obstacles that he thought Logan couldn't get through, it was certain that Rhoemer would be tracked down at the end of the game.
I would say that if you (the player) want to TAS this game, you may need to review the footage at Speed Demos archive. I watched their footage as it did show a few nice techniques that beated enemies and saved some time.
If you play this game with your emulator, you can imitate the techniques while using frame-advance and pull off some more frames. Make sure you don't stop very often if you know it's good for you, because Logan only runs at one pace. Also, managing your weapons/ammunition/armor is a must.
