My first draft of NES Willow was done on Windows 7. Not all older versions ran with this OS. Maybe they can behave on Vista, but I don't have that on me right now.

I almost forgot! There are no Mega-Busters or even fast sliding here.

9.5/9 - It ain't a perfect TAS, but it is reasonable.

My vote is adelikat - I see Deign still holds the advantage. I didn't know he left.

Samus using the X-Ray Scope to break into Tourian?! That is the reason I vote SM glitched!

If the poll wasn't closed and all, I would've gave this an 8/9. It's an amazing run to me and does get things done as quick as the first Rockman. C'mon, work with me, people... ~rolls eyes~

Nah, trust me on this. I been following detail from RPGClassics.com alleging that he has to be on level 13 and have Fin Raziel's magic cane prepared for Bavmorda. http://www.rpgclassics.com/shrines/nes/willow/area7.shtml - and read the second section. As I went into posting the first draft, I believed it.

Can we at least delete that topic and start over from the beginning?

I read ideas and inputs from others about techniques of TAS'ing a video game - and I've mastered it since then. All I have to do now is understand every game I play and conserve as many frames as possible; that is my weakness AFAIK.

I guess I am running the wrong version of FCEUX or something... I'll try the latest version soon.

Okay, for FCEUX, saving a state is usually triggered by holding down Shift+F1 for state # 0. But when you do that in Windows 7, it gives a strange error then pops up a lot of other dialogs that you didn't approve. It pops up "load from state", "memory watch", "replay movie", "save AVI", the whole nine yards! I couldn't generate any dumps or reports because it was running stable at the time. Normally, reports would be created if FCEUX crashed, but in this case, ehh, nah. First it kept crashing, then after a few more times it behaved but worked totally different. Whoever gets into Windows 7, watch your back. I know build 7000 is already leaked on BitTorrent, but I'm afraid I cannot point you all in that direction - to stay legal.

And it did activate perfectly. But I still await some more drivers, at least for sound.

Okay. Now I read a webpage saying that it is possible to do a clean install of W7 while upgrading will be a pain in the rear - so I will give that a try. I will have to back up all my stuff first. [ Update ] After a clean install and a temporary product key that buyed me 30 days of evaluation, I been playing with Windows 7 almost all morning. It later recognized and installed drivers for my notebook's on-board ATi Radeon Xpress 200M. I even had to run BlueBadge to turn the Windows Taskbar inside-out! A couple more programs I need to install, and then I'll try to screenshot a few NES games emulated on Windows 7. Of course, a clean install did not install any drivers for my sound card, but it has found and took care of my video. Speaking of, I want you guys to give me a list of NES games you want me to take screenshots of (like Mario, Zelda, and what-not), and I'll try to get to that when I can.
