That IS the updated route. We need Woodfall next for the Song of Soaring.

The only thing I have to say is that the second 2 superslides both place the bomb instead of shield dropping it. Otherwise, the video looked very good.

It seems like more supersliding needs to be done, as there are many straight paths that could be superslid along. From Tingle's platform to the entrance to goron village comes to mind, as do many parts of goron village. Also, it might be faster to leave hitting the owl statue until after you return to mountain village.

Excellent, excellent. The superslides are much better, and the Mountains access area looks good.

Your backwalking with bombs is still imperfect. You don't need to stop when shield dropping the bomb. simply press R while backwalking to drop it. The second superslide should still begin with a backwalk, however short it might be.

Could you post a savestate at the beginning of the Termina field part? It desyncs for me right outside the bomb shop

Well, I just remembered that I still have a filefront account, so... http://files.filefront.com/SuperslideTASzip/;6440766;;/fileinfo.html m64 and savestate.

Yeah, what Yautja said. But here's the video, anyway. Also includes a possibly faster method of turning when doing superslides. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsfe9E-vpZA I'll get you the m64 if you want it, but I'll need a way to upload it. dehacked doesn't take m64s from savestates and rapidshare is down. ugh.

That's not what I meant with the backwalking thing. I'll post a vid I made of what I mean tomorrow.

Some things about the latest WIP. Firstly, it seems like you're doing a lot of waiting with the bomb fuse during your superslides. As much time as possible should be spent backwalking to wait out the fuse. Also, I'm not sure if that's the fastest way to get through the ice crystals. Considering that you can only get through the middle of the crystals, it might be better to start out lined up with them. Lastly, are all of those superslides faster than backwalking? the last one seems pretty short.

Is there something else I am meant to do to get through the crystals? I can activate the Infinite Sword glitch (I created a save state and when I run towards a ledge Link just drops off it rather than auto jumping, if I remember correctly, that means the glitch has been activated). However, in the video it appears as though Link just backflips through the crystals, yet when I try it he gets frozen. Am I missing something?
If the sword glitch is active, Link should stop at an edge, not fall off it, unless that edge causes Link to start sliding down a slope. But anyway, the easiest way to check if the glitch is active is to backflip and, while still in the air, press B to draw your sword. If the sword has a white trail, the glitch is active. If not, try again. If you're still having trouble, make a video of what you're doing and we can tell you what you're doing wrong.

You need to take time between each backflip, not just press A as fast as you can. Also, you need to hold R the whole time.
Not true. With the right alignment, you can do it by ust pressing A as quickly as possible.

You can't start buying bombs until he gets all the way to the counter. I'm pretty sure that's what the pause is there for.

The TAS shown on youtube seems to have everything correct except the wizrobe battles. The cutscene of the wizrobe running around can be skipped if you damage him in the split second before it activates. Hard on console, no problem for TAS. And you might want to luck manipulate to keep him on nearby pads in the second fight, although it may not matter.

Over the rock. We're not getting certified for powder kegs.

I don't think that we'll be using the inverted song of time at all. In fact, my biggest worry about the route is that there will be too much time before the ranch bottle. If there is it's still fixable, but we definitely don't need the inv. song of time.

I don't think so. The Boss door room's ledge is WAY too high, and the main red switch has the wrong kind of slope. Other than those two, I can't think of any other use for it.

Well, here's the alternative way that I spoke of before, and it's quite clearly faster than the first way into the red switch room I posted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPQjKxsI1nQ

Keep up the good work, Mukki! Also, a few trick videos. Here's the classic Zora Flying glitch. Still trying to ascertain whether height gain is possible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRFgoWpOPeA Here's a thing for the GBT. I'm not sure if it's faster than the alternative. Video of said alternative to come soon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6u0hl284MPg

No, roll jumps suffice to get across the gaps.

According to the glitch FAQ on Gamefaqs, you can supposedly get higher. I have yet to replicate that, but I haven't played around with it that much. If it is possible to get higher and this works on any sloped exit from the water, we can skip bomb hovering in the boss door room of GBT.

Well, here's what I can find about the Flying in air glitch. First, a documentation of it on Zelda Chaos, with a demonstrative GIF to go with it. We might want to check out some of the other glitches here to look for usefulness. http://www.jaytheham.com/zc/mm.php?page=mmmc048 Secondly, there's a similar mention of the glitch in this FAQ. It's number 18 http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/n64/file/zelda_majoras_mask_glitch.txt It looks like a sloped exit from the water is needed, but it is not clear if a specific grade of slope is needed.

How exactly is this flying out of water glitch accomplished? I can think of many uses for it, but they largely depend on how it is activated.

Excellent video Mukki. I only have 2 comments 1) In the very beginning, you stop to realign before jumping the stumps. Is this realignment necessary? (I have this feeling this was answered in the thread, but I can't remember that answer.) 2) IIRC, you can skip the "Don't stop now..." text that Tatl tells you as you enter the tower. Could someone confirm/deny this? Still, very nice. That stuff with the heart piece was tight. Now on to the more interesting cycle...

Oh, right. Sorry, I was thinking of a different route there for a second. Also, after checking, it seems the scarecrow's song does NOT take sharps/flats, so looks like we're stuck with 5 notes to make a song with. Incidentally, those notes are D, F, A, B, and D (one octave higher).

Yeah, that's definitely true. Just soar straight out of the lens cave. Also, to prevent repitition of notes, you can play the tune I suggested like this: C>, Z+Cv, v+C<C>, C<, Z+C^, ^+R+C<, ^+C^
