If humans can beat you, it's a definite no.

You'd probably want to start with the first Mega Man TASes and work your way up, since they get more and more dependent on lag frames and other emulator wackiness.

Is there an encode made by someone who has the correct sound settings? Call me anal, but I would rather have the jump noise match the sound my console puts out instead of some gimmicky "high quality" version.

Two encodes, maybe? I know for some of the Sonic games an alternate encode with a camera hack was done.

Holy crap X is fast in this game. The glitches are kinda subtle but do wonders to make the gameplay fast and smooth.

As someone who mainly just watches the videos and sometimes looks at the forum for extra discussion, I kind of agree that as long as it improved upon the previous runs and is faster than the best human run, it should get published. It's a given that these things will get improved time and time again, so keeping the improvement/publication process open results in the most entertainment for the viewers coming to the site. As long as people give proper credit in the runs, there shouldn't be any drama over who gets to be "the name" behind the TAS.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who reads the descriptions on these, so your callout nearly fell on deaf ears. I thought I had an account already, but I guess the forums were good enough for unregistered users.
