In this run, SM Redesign shows very clear what a huge potential it has. Optimizing it to 100% would be nearly impossible without planning ahead through the entire run. Nevertheless, Drew did a great job, if keeping in mind it was his first TAS ever!
As this run most likely won't make it on this site, especially because it uses a savestate instead of reset-recording, I decided to encode it myself! So here you go:

The original AVI (with best quality) is the "Cinepack" version which is actually encoded using the x264 codec. You can use VLC Media Player to playback it.
Enjoy!
Beautiful run on a beautiful remake.
Though I played it, I disliked the new physics... but now I'm even more scared at how challenging it looks from watching that run.
It's crazy how large some rooms are, I'm used to seeing a transition screen every 3-4 seconds. :]
I'd really appreciate an AVI of any completed runs of this game, as I can't seem to get a matching ROM and things seem to always just freeze after people get the wall jump boots... ~_~
Guano, where are you up to currently? I ask this because I have no experience with N64 emulated save states and they probably wouldn't run on my terrible computer.
Is this taking much longer than usual to publish due to the length?
I hope this video comes out before I go on vacation..
Another stupid question, was the Spirit Temple segment made? Because I just realized that's the only segment I haven't seen..
Haha Xiffy =)
I personally would like to see the Target Test/Board the Platforms TAS'd. It wouldn't require too much time with prior knowledge of the game and strategies...
And possibly a rapid start (pause/unpause) of any Target Test stage would be somewhat entertaining (since the timer actually SLOWS down)...
Neeto, is this going to be submitted as a TAS video and will someone make an AVI for the entire thing? Sorry for the dumb question =)
Also, are you planning on doing a new run with all the new tricks discovered?
Would someone care to post all the .AVIs of the progress so far? I'm having trouble finding working links rummaging through the 47 pages of this topic...
