There are some errors in that strat. My record is 41.55 And, wasn't the published run beaten in less than 40 secs? At least that what I remember...

Watched the movie, voting yes :) At first though, it doesn't look you're going to beat Bear Hugger faster, but you hit him fewer times than before. Wouldn't had imagined, unless using memory addresses... I think that in Jarboo's Page, the records are sorted by time, so Bob Charlie's strat was made by Jarboo & the other records by Abuzed Rib (Well, actually is by who submitted it first, but is almost the same...). I though I had better records there, I guess I made some after his last update Although on the strategy section, it gives credits to Marcus Fremer... I know that Gabby Jay's strat was made by Gord Ryan, as I still keep the mail from Jarboo...: Hi Erick ! I don't know if all Gord Ryan's times are sure but the one for Gabby Jay is genuine (the strat is online). I hope you'll send me soon great new times and scores C u Jarboo ^ That was from 20 Aug 2002...

So, Bear Hugger is the only improved fight, correct? Wonder what's different now. As for who found the strat for Gabby Jay first, it was Gord Ryan...

Nope, I'm not working on them anymore. I mentioned I was going to do the subtitles for the first world only. Boco was going to do the rest, but she didn't/hasn't. (though she helped me with some extra info in the 1st world...) Besides, I can't work on them again (don't have a good computer to even run the movie at 100%...) Anyway, what's this Lua-enabled thing?

JKT is back with some action. It's been a while since he did a TAS of this game, but he hasn't forgotten about it. This time he plays Silence, you can download the file from FileSend youtube link *whoops, I had posted it on the Death Race topic :P

Working on a slow computer... Yea, I know you'll probably do the run in slow motion, but not been able to appreciate the run at 100% speed when playing back, is frustrating...

Any news Tremalkinger? Currently, I been looking for codes for this game, you can check them here: http://samuraigoroh.googlepages.com/aw.txt I think you'll find useful this 2 addresses:
03000D78 XX Attacker "next Hp"
03000D7C XX Defender "next Hp"
It's not really what Hp they will have, it'll depend on the terrain. It behaves more like this formula from Advance Wars: Dual Strike

I was wondering, why don't you use the L button to use the next unit? Is it always faster to use the directions? Have you tried mixing both the L button & the directional pad? Sami's Debut (If that's how it's called, it's been a long since I played :P) you should aim to capture the HQ with the T-copter from above. I think there was a Md Tank next to the HQ, so you'll need a unit for diversion, not sure if you could do it with the T-copter or not...

Probably because of the battle animation, sure it can't attack the Infantry, but it can attack a tank...

ROM #0095 is v1.0 and ROM #0299 is v1.1 I got both, I'll see if it runs well on the latter & comment your run :) Edit: Seems that in v1.1, it desynchs on map 4 (Max Strikes!)... As for the run, well seems pretty fast paced. To bad that you'll need to sacrifice some technique points for that, getting a perfect S rank is more appealing, but of course that would take longer... Seems you have a FoW map next, the address code to change the fog is located at 0300431C, keep in mind that the enemy ignores the fow, but you can't...

Nice, I'll watch this WIP later & comment if I think there's an error somewhere... Well, since you mentioned that you're focussing on real-time speed, don't think that AW Revival's page will help you out, but is nice to have other strats... I also have some raw codes for this game, but I think you might not need them. The only useful ones (which I know) would be the CO gauge & Fog of War flag, I guess... BTW, I saw that there's version 1.0 & 1.1, do you know what the differences are? And, will you use the bug to edit maps to finish a long one faster? (although it takes some time to perform the bug...). The bug is mentioned here

I'm sure you don't need to change powers to beat the arena ASAP. Plasma does good amount of damage & can be charged really quickly. I think a TAS run with plasma will be around 3 minutes, maybe even a little lower :)

I would say because of the ending, it has the credits on it unlike others...

I asked the same question on this topic, but it was ignored :P My guess is that they didn't knew well this game & they though you need everything to unlock Milky Way Wishes... If you're not going for a 100%, then you should skip them, IMO. BTW, good luck on your run, I'll follow your progress :)

Mmm, this is hard to decide. I really like Sector Beta from F-zero X (music & map), but my choice goes to Super Mario Bros 3, as for the scene, well any of them will do, though I loved when you could get a tanooki power :)

F-zero GX beats 'em all. There's a glitch - mine glitch - that able you to go at absurd speeds (IIRC, at FFFFFFFF hex Km/h). The problem is that is way to fast that you fall off the track in a wink...

Well, I'm "finished" with the 1st world subtitles... I "translated" (actually, just used the GBA text) every battle command, added a few notes when I'm about to use for the first time Goblin Punch, breaking a rod, etc. Added the explanation of the story that is shown in the intro of the GBA version & added conversations I consider most important. Bear with the fact that since there's lots of text, sometimes it covers the whole screen. I could reduce the amount, but there wouldn't be time to read it. So either I would have to just remove it or showing it almost like in the TAS... I created a page on google in which I uploaded my part, here's the link: http://samuraigoroh.googlepages.com/home Since the file is "big", I'm having lag when viewing the video, so I don't know if something didn't synched or if there's some other kind of error :P Any feedback is appreciated :)

Well, he once told me that with this game, you can't do it frame by frame, you have to go by segments. This is because something that might be good in short, it might be bad in long time... But on the turns, that's most likely because of the check points that are in the track. Remember that this was mentioned early, you can't cut wherever you want...
