Meh, it's been so long & think that no one else had that record, so I wanted to see a video from anyone else... (though, it would be really hard for anyone to improve this level...)

Mean while I'll be checking out 3-5, it is pretty short and looks like it has potential time savings.
Really? I though I perfected the strat... In which part do you think it may be improved? BTW, think I can sub 5 min my level 7-2, the current strat has some notable blunders...

Gorash, don't know if you had worked on 8-1 because Samurai G. had the record
Time 2:18.03 2:32.96
Steps 479 545
Pushes 131 121
Kicks 19 24
I think it was me who really set the level 8-1 record & gorash improved it, but I recuperated it... (now I lost it again :( ) Your strat looks great, but I think you can save like 2 steps when the time is around 45 secs (when you push a block left then up), think that instead of pushing that block up, go to the one in the right & push it up to set it closer when you return for it... BTW, have you tried to beat my level 4-5 record? I set this one long time ago & never got beaten :D (But I wanna see how much can it be improved...) Also flagitious, how many levels do you still miss, if any? (I still miss around 10)

Nope, but I have school... not much time to play in weekdays... BTW Bisqwit, how does the Bounty works & for what?

Just in case nobody notices, I set a record on levels 11-3 & 12-4. For the 1st one, I'm not sure if my strat was really faster because I think it was made before removing the lag & for the 2nd one, didn't realized it was a better strat & almost sub 2 minutes... The bright side of getting erased the cookies is that you'll have to try all the levels you beat before one more time & sometimes get to see something that might help improving the current path :) Edited: As a side note, I found out that currently I'm the one that holds more records :)
Samurai G. 22
Gorash 17
Warp 14
xebra 6
Blublu 1
Edit 2: Now I got level 6-1, dunno if Gorash path + my ideas would be faster than the path I chose, but I sub 3 minutes that level :)

Hehe, I found a better path & took warp's 3-5 record. With all the lag I had, it can be improved by around 2.5 secs. So I bet warp will want to recuperate it ASAP :P BTW Bisqwit, have you tried more levels for Bisqbot? Maybe it can tackle level 3-3 by now, don't you think? Edited: Now I took level 4-3. Not sure of my strat was better, but I guess Warp didn't played again when the turn lag was removed...

About 9-1 goroh: Yes that was a first time completion. And your route is not half bad, I tried beating it for half an hour, no chance. My original route was left side first and then unravelling the right side from below. It feels faster, and I'm sure there has to be a clue in it, but I still have about 30 steps more than you. I think I just need some sleep. As for 5-1: 4:40 isn't a bad time. My first optimised version had a time around that. After that the battle with Warp started about that level. I'm still not entirely happy with the last 5 boxes in the right, but this is the fastest route to date. If you find something, let us know. :)
Well, for level 9-1 I had to played it a few times because I always missed something, so ideas came while re-starting that level. Still I made a couple of minor mistakes IIRC... As for level 5-1, my brother deleted the cookies, so bye bye to all my times :(. That level cost me a lot & only beat it once, so it'll take me some tries to get it again, hope not to many... BTW, I took your 12-3 record. Dunno if my strat is faster, but I think it looks nicer :) PS: Hey Warp, I just recuperated my 11-1 record. BTW, the strat I used can be optimised by about 3.6 secs...

Took you long enough, I saw you browsing this topic quite some time ago. ;) Getting 30 seconds out of that should be easy. Delay is 28 seconds, a 7 minute movie shouldn'd have more than like 18 seconds human delay. Then I saw at least 20 unnecessary steps in that execution, another 4 seconds. That's half of it without changing the route at all.
hehe, I was playing this game & checking other forums, also later I played chess at FICS... Anyway, finally got to beat level 5-1 & took me around 4'40 (yikes, that was slow) I though on some improvements for my strat, but as I saw your video, you already were ahead of me & made them... 15 levels to go (for me)... Edited: Hey Gorash, I just trashed your 9-1 record by almost 3 minutes, I didn't checked your video, but I think you just played once if I'm not mistaken ;)

As for the actual level: Goroh, I provided some aid for a decent beginning, but I couldn't get a grasp on your fetching of multiple blocks. I also used a completely different sorting in the goal area. Maybe if you combine yours and mine you can shave of another 30 seconds or so.
Well, I think I would need to make some calculations to mix both strats into one... BTW, I saw you got a little more than 7 minutes, not sure now if getting rid of 30 secs will be easy now... Also this isn't the longest level anymore, at least not until someone finds a better strat for level 6-5 ...

Works fine for me. Can you elaborate?
Mmm, well now it works fine... What I think it may had hapened is that I played level 10-4 & beat Gorash record, then I was sending my file but I regret it because I wanted to see if his path was better at some time. So, I observed his video while mine wasn't still fully submitted. After I saw his path I saw mine, then I changed the level to play 5-1 & when I started, the map was zoomed in, but the boxes & Peter where at normal size.

Just finished 10-5, which was the last one I hadn't solved before. I'd say that one is one of the more challenging one of the game. I wonder if the creator of the level had all those themes in mind. Goroh, I watched your route, and somehow the pushing around in front of the goal looks nasty. Did you do that on instinct or did you experiment with it?
Well, I played that level several times & noticed that making that move wouldn't block me, so I tried it out & worked really nice :) . Dunno how much time it saved me, but I've used the same idea in other levels, like on 10-4 & 6-5 BTW, I found level 10-5 easier than other levels I yet can't beat like 5-1 :( (Well, I have an excuse in that lever right now :P)

Hey Bisqwit, I tried to play level 5-1, but I got that blunder zoom. I though it was due because I just observed a video before playing this level, but it seems that when you where changing the sprites, you changed something... BTW, I still have 20 levels to go :(

44 = 44 x (4 / 4) 45 = 44 + (4 / 4) 46 = 44 + (4 / √4) 47 = 48= (4? * 4) + 4 + 4

Could someone explain me how do you manage to use the mouse for everything in long levels? For example, in the 6-2 level you used 521 steps, 155 pushes, 16 kicks and 171 block moves, while I used only 511 steps, 153 pushes, 16 kicks and 169 block moves. Clearly my path is shorter than yours, yet you still beat my time by almost 5 seconds simply because you used the mouse for everything. How do you do that? I can perform some initial moves with the mouse, but this is only after practicing and memorizing the clicking places ("first I click here, press right, then here, press right, then here, press left..." and so on). If I try to use the mouse on the fly, without having memorized the clicking places I get almost immediately confused and get pauses while searching the correct place, click on wrong places etc etc. So, how do you do it? I don't get it. It's a bit frustrating. No matter how much I optimize my routes and how many times I start over because of a tiny 0.1 seconds mistake in order to get a flawless run, someone will easily beat my time with a worse path by simply using the mouse for everything, something which I can't do myself. Edit: I just tried 6-2 with mouse only and after about the 100th attempt I succeeded in performing to the end without bigger flaws. OTOH this level is unusually easy because most movement is just pushing one box long distances around...
Well, as Gorash said before, you need to be ahead of where you're going to head. In long maps I usually try to figure out which place I'll going to be next, so I place the pointer of the mouse near that point, so when I finish doing the last thing, I can move ASAP. It doesn't matter if it isn't the exact place, as most of the time, the shortest path will be near where you clicked (now that you've clicked, just click again in the exact point where you want to). Also, if you are going to kick right away, you can keep pressed either K or 0 while you're moving with the mouse as it won't stop moving & you'll kick immediately ;) BTW, I took again your 6-2 record & with a blunder :P PS: Thanks for creating the sprites of the kicks Warp, now is a lot way easier to run right after you kicked the box :)

Thanks gorash :) Actually level 6-5 was easier than the other level 6 maps. Also it's very similar to level 7-3, so if you solve one, you'll know how to solve the other one ;) Also, congrats for recuperating your level 4-2 record Edited: Now only 6 levels to go, I got 9-2 & 10-3 done ;)

I was thinking on something similar, but for Bisqbot. (In order to calculate less, I think) Just get the time of the perfected path used in the current hold record & use it to end the program if that time is passed while calculating. Maybe that could help getting a few more levels done unless you already done that... BTW, I've beaten some records with worse paths, especially in very long levels. So, what Gorash said may work plus it would also work for my idea... Also, I was thinking that the top 5 or top 10 records could be added in the screen where it shows your time, record time & perfect time by adding a link to this feature... I wanna know how many of us does plays & who also has a perfected record, since once you get the record, noone can take it off...

Just saw it... bad Samurai. Well as you probably saw it was a first time completion anyway. Nothing to hold a record on, just like 10-1 which I finished a minute ago and which I don't intend to hold the record on... it's a boring level. ;) 1 down, 15 to go
Hehe, the current record also was from my 1st time beat, also I didn't used the mouse (because of the pushing air & walking diagonally junk), so I bet I can take about 30 secs if I don't get those messages ;) Also, I wonder how much will it take us to get all the levels & then to Bisqbot to find the optimal path (If that get to happens...)

Argg, I just pwned level 2-2, but when I was about to send my name, the page just refreshed & then I lost the chance to register :( (Which BTW, I think I perfected the pattern & can't improve it more :() BTW, I think there's a glitch with the Blunder repetition. When you screw it up by kicking a block into the wall & can't get it out, the blunder repetition won't appear there but after you push ANY block. I know it's kind of dumb as why would you keep playing if you blunder, but I think this should be fixed...
