I don't think it will ever be possible to skip the second key door. The first one has some potential by using the moat doar, but even that has been not been easy. The closest way we can possibly skip the second door is through wrong warping, but this game isn't as broken as OOT so I doubt it will ever be possible.

Bump. here's a WIP of first four bosses. This is my first TAS project so some time can be saved. http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/3940595750583106 As of Smoke nezumi finish, this run is around 4.5 seconds faster than the run on Nicovid(based the timing on the hourglass timer for my run and the video timer for the other).

This is just pure awesome. Good job 120 star team! I vote yes, also this is now the 2nd highest rerecord count in the site.

this might be a stupid question but how do you reload a state after closing then opening a movie again in hourglass? you see I'm tasing a windows game right now and whenever I load a savestate after closing hourglass then reopening it, it gives a message saying that the savestate has gone stale and it could desynch the movie or whatnot. Whenever i need to reopen hourglass I just used the resume recording from now feature but it gets really annoying whenever I have to wait for the movie to get to the point I want and it's about 2 and a half minutes long and can get really boring even at fast forward. I pretty sure all other TAS emus can do this but I just can't seem to work it out on Hourglass. :C

Either do it as fast as possible, or do the full 100% run with all levels. Accepting one kind of level-skipping feature but not another just seems arbitrary.
Actually I've seen some examples like that which are pretty decent around the site. I don't really see how being just a bit arbitrary is wrong as long as it still has a logical reason to be accepted. An example of this can be found here http://tasvideos.org/2062M.html

Havent' watched it yet, I'll wait for the encode probably. BUt 1616 rerecords, that's like a 30 second TAS for me. And this is like what, 57 minutes? I'll hold my vote til' I see the encode.

Hi guys, I'm new here to TASvids, I already know how to TAS and I've made a few test ones now. I'm 13 years old by the way. But can you suggest what I could TAS first? I'm short in Ideas... :< Here's a list of projects I want to do. Which could be ideal to tas first for a newbie? PSX Megaman 8 DS Super Mario 64 DS (fastest route and 150 stars & all rabbits) GEN Mega Man: The Wily Wars (Wily Tower) WII Mega Man 9 WI Super Mario Galaxy DS New Super Mario Bros (All levels) DS Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (no tweaking glitch) A bit of problem though is Dolphin Emulator runs a bit slow. So I won't be doing that soon. Besides that, are any of those games good for a newbie TAS?
