Hyped, this game is in serious need of a tas. So many weapons and setups to mess with, risky strats, AI abuse. Just wondering though, would a no-hit run be even possible? Enemies can be so aggresive, i have Project Phantasma arena ptsd.

I feel your pain, I tried so hard to get people on board for the S2K ringless run. It may take long but I'm sure the result will be incredible. If I had better skills I would like to help but from S2K ringless, the only inputs that were still mine were Skychase Zone which has no real impact on time haha. I could look for bugs though, for those unattainable rings maybe. Edit: I gave CPZ2 a try because i felt like the route could be improved and I managed to save 7 seconds. (in-game) I'm sure it's still improvable though but not by me :P http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/84591753/skychase%20-%20S2K%20allringCPZ2%20-%20.gmv Edit2: Low quality encode >< Link to video

Actually, many levels are possible without zipping right to the end and turned like this during the optimization process. I wonder if time could be sacrificed for entertainement purposes. However, since i'm lightyears away from Tee-N-Tee TASing skills, the run would look really unoptimized if I gave it a second try.

I'm sorry, my encode is so blurry it's almost unwatchable. I used Lagarith losssless codec but damn, it's even worse than last encode i made. There's clearly something i'm missing and it's pretty frustrating -_-. Just in case, i'll leave it here. Link to video

I followed the Encoding Guide and even though it's not HD, the framerate seems perfect and the sound is synced. (Clearly better than my previous attempts ><) But I don't know how long it will take to upload since it's 6,47GB. Also, thanks everyone, you all did amazing work on this. For a while, I thought this project would never be completed and now, it's even sub-20min. I felt the result would be worth it from the beginning, but damn i wish i could have helped more. You guys blew my mind. It was a lot of fun, learning about the TASing process, understanding the logic behind many moves in Sonic runs allowed me to enjoy them even more. ^^ Anyway, I should be back with encodes soon (i hope ><).

Oh Tee-N-Tee, i've been trying this ARZ2 zip for SOOOOOOOOOOO long. O-Ô This. Is. Beautiful. hahahaha And Hat, this HTZ2.... I remember spending so much time on this level, starting with a zip with the raising lava that took ridiculously long to pull off. Now, seeing this so smooth and fast as hell, awesome. No regrets in necro-bumping this thread, hahaha. It will be worth the wait in the end. Good job guys. ^^

Sorry for not being able to help, your improvements are amazing though. I can't wait to see Metropolis since it's pretty much a maze of wall/floor clipping. :P

So far, not much except redoing Wing Fortress completely before putting the whole thing on youtube. It was desynced beyond repair. >< But anyway, bad timing because we just entered crunch time at my job, 60 hours/week, so i'll probably keep the remaining time for my girlfriend and sleeping. I'll see what i can do to help.

I spliced every gmvs I had together to make this run. Now we can improve it. ^^ http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/17827300/fullrun%20ringless-2015.gmv Link to video I put the TASers' names in order of how many inputs they made in the run.

Necrobump!! After seeing that the Sonic 2 Perfect bonus run was back, i thought about diving back and completing this run. However, splicing together all the individual level segments will be harder than i thought at first since they all have weird names and date from 2013. I noticed there's no Best Times list for this challenge so I thought i'd post it here with the name of the authors. (They may be obsolete already (likely)) EH1: 0:18 (Aglar) EH2: 0:35 (Aglar) CP1: 0:25 (LTRP) CP2: 0:35 (Felipe) AR1: 0:19 AR2: 0:36 CN1: 0:24 CN2: 0:37 HT1: 0:32 (Felipe) HT2: 0:50 (LTRP) MC1: 0:29 (Aglar) MC2: 0:34 (DMTM) OO1: 0:24 (WST) OO2: 0:36~ (WST) MZ1: 0:43 MZ2: 0:29 (Felipe/Me) MZ3: 0:59 (Marzojr) SC: 2:05 WF: 1:45 DE: 0:40 (Aglar) Sooooooo, i'm looking for some motivation and I wondered if actual Knuckles runners discovered new tricks that could be useful. Also i wanna know if there's any interest in this challenge anymore.

Hello there, trying to spark new interest in this game long forgotten around here. It's been almost two years since I uploaded my TAS attempt, i've been doing RTA Any% runs in the last month or so with the tiny speedrunning community (if it's big enough to be called like that). New strats and tricks have been discovered, we can now skip levels entirely thanks to runners Robthegamer117, Ahbeef and TheRuseman.(http://www.speedrun.com/pmw) (skype group: Pac-Chat) So, here's the latest RTA Any% WR (1:01:48). Link to video Just putting it there to show the potential of the level skipping glitch, the last TAS was 45 minutes long and easily improvable, this may bring the time down to sub 30 i think. I may get back to TASing someday, wanna know if anybody is interested in searching with us.

Haha, nice! Sadly, Chemical Plant Zone act 2 is impossible. So is Aquatic Ruins Zone act 2.
Is it impossible because of the boss fights ?

It may sound crazy but a Tekken 1/2/3 using King, Jack or Yoshimitsu would be awesome. Same inputs, similar moves, different opponents.
