nice first, however... the mid bosses all need work. just have fun, walk between the doubles, play cat and mouse, pretend to attack, be inventive; those are some weak points, and there are a few of those battles. play with death abuse. speeding through and suddenly being constrained by a trap because you're on one life feels ill planned. this happened enough times. two of the bosses stuck out, the level 5 drac and final drac. the level 5 because you focused more on the bats as opposed to drac (if helsing isnt too far off, his power up for said battle could be useful). the last drac... cant more stones be thrown in the air? it didnt feel like a lot were used. again, this was just a brief gloss over, so they may be well tested. if so apologies. the only last thing is for the platforming sections when you need to remain still or use the platform... make it more than just standing and waiting. hop off or fight enemies or play around... minor thing, i know.

you can also use that to get to deathbird earlier and to bypass juggernaut and head straight to the far right elevator in excalibur lighthouse. dunno if thats been mentioned or not.

Dick Tracy for NES is on that list. unless you just skip to the last mission via password, but even then its gonna be one of those times you feel like you wasted 5 minutes of your life.

the best thing i could find in that document was:
dodge Juggernaut's charge about 20 times or maybe a little more with or without hurting him and he'll charge so hard that he'll charge right off the platform. You win.
of course, thats crap. the best thing i can advise is going back over the movie file and looking at the button taps or the memory viewer.

After defeating mojo in Mojo's future crunch you need to reset the system. Taken from http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/genesis/file/x_men_a.txt : When you get to the end of the level, the screen will lock. Jump and hit the danger room screen (it's the big computer monitor-looking object). It will explode and disappear. Wait for a few seconds and...RESET YOU SYSTEM! It will then say something about system reloading, then start menu again, pick your xman, etc etc. nothing new, just different color scheme for the big X-MEN text on the title screen. Hope it clarifies the reset thing for ya, if not holler! EDIT:

Hmm, that is not joyous news... I will have to test that today
and Juggernauts got a glitch about running off screen.
Do you know how to initiate that glitch? Both myself and jaysmad are having difficulties replicating the glitch, which (if you watch the last, absolutely horrible, part of my run you will notice I inadvertantly trigger that sucker. Any help is appreciated!
[/quote] i mean that, when you are re-recording and you have to do that, will it register and will the movie file actually show the reset? Jyzero once told me that the reason it didnt register was because for it to do that it would require a major rewrite to Gens. originally, when i did this, i replayed the movie and i was stuck at Mojo's Future Crunch, even though id played the game further and even into Magneto. and as far as retriggering that glitch, i cant remember the exact way its done. i thought it was something about making him appear at the edge of the screen, but i could be wrong. sorry about not being very helpful in that area.

Desyncs horribly got me otherwise, but i maybe need to update Gens (i dont think you meant to suddenly die or take so many bumps in the Savage Land).

so, how exactly do you get by mojo's future crunch and onto asteroid m seeing how you cant reset and have the game count it? nightcrawler's teleport ability is highly awesome. in the shiar empire, you can use it after the asteroid ride to skip right to deathbird. in the excalibur lighthouse, you can bypass juggernaut and a great deal of the level and head to the far right elevator and straight to apocalypse. theres a ton of spots in ahab's future as well, too many to name. its all about finding the fastest route. i never really got around to asteroid m (reset thing).

in the GBA version? where? show me on this map: http://vgmaps.com/Atlas/GBA/FinalFantasyI&II-DawnOfSouls-FinalFantasyII-PhinCastle&PhinBasement.png or just tell me which one of the markers is wrong, if thats the case (Power Staff, i thought replaced the Blood Sword in this version and the only other place to get the Blood Sword was from Paul's stash).

from what i read, the EmExit's are only from the Souls of Chaos dungeons. and the only enemy to drop such an item are the Purple Worms (which are located in the dungeons as well).

going from this, EXITs only availible to Red WIZARDS, which you become after the sidequest to change classes. Warp (black magic), is only accessible to a Black Mage (i say that because for it to be accessible to a Red Mage, you have to again, complete the sidequest). i wasnt sure what party you were going for in the final though. EDIT: in either case, you'd need to complete the sidequest (EXIT needs White Wizard). Warp is the only exception, and its availible to the Black Mage (the only one that doesnt need an upgrade). but its availible in GAIA. ...with all this in mind, id say DONT worry about the spell. it seems like a lot of hassle that would end up taking longer.

there are 2 (NES): -in Phin Basement -in Paul's secret stash before the whirlwind (or after, its been a while). however, in the GBA port, they replaced the Basement one with a Power Staff. if there is another place they put it or something along those lines, id like to know about it as well.

? where? the magic shop from left to right is: -fire, thunder, blizzard, cure -cure, blink, protect, shell -barrier, wall, swap, holy -life, sap, warp, teleport -fear, basuna, esuna, silence or does the shop list change at a certain point (im going by a completed game file). EDIT: it wasnt there at the beginning either (bless walk through walls... if only it was availible for everything). EDIT 2: and it wasnt there with MingWu either.

if u can do it quickly enough. but you dont even get the Tome until Phin Castle AFTER visiting the Arena (unless its a drop, but im in a rush). so it would be somewhat long in the tooth. as well, why not grab the Genji equipment?
