Please don't make anymore WIPs. Just post it unannounced on the workbench.

I'm pretty skeptical of the entertainment value of using an invisible team, but I'll withhold judgment until I see a WIP.

Couldn't you have used entertainment as your cost function instead?
They're the same thing. This run is the reason why I come here. Any questions that I had (and that most people have had) were answered well in the submission text. Congratulations on finding so much time to save; it sounds like you covered your bases pretty well.

Affect is also a noun, but it is never used correctly. Likewise, affective is an actual word, but people almost always would mean effective when using the former.

I just want to expand on this; it basically shouldn't be used at all. One use would be overuse.

It appears we're going to have to try some sort of override or memory leak to either generate the key we want, or make it so BitDW gives us key 2. The other alternative is to find a way to trick star doors, perhaps using other, already-qualified star doors, into opening. we do that and we have a no keys run. if you can trick the CCM door, you can trick the upstairs one too.
How would you get upstairs?

zOMG, you really can't know what the difference between the two runs is going to be until we see at least one of them completed. I'm not sure why you're so set against people making another run, but you're being very unpleasant. If you don't want the 70-star run to be published, you can vote against it when it's submitted; beyond that, I'm not sure if you are contributing anything to the discussion here.

When was the original video posted? The only way I remember seeing someone get into that circle is by entering Kokiri Forest from the Lost Woods bridge.

I have to vote no to this. The forest escape was painfully slow. Also, that C^ sound in a TAS is like nails on a chalkboard. I'd rather wait a couple months to get a real run (hopefully sub-one hour) on the site.

I seriously believe this is one area (ie. runs of multiple simultaneous games) where quality far exceeds quantity.
Shouldn't that be the case for everything?
I'd rather have 10 old, dirty $100 bills than 1 crisp new one.

I realize this is pretty nonspecific, but what things do you find funny? For example..TV shows, websites, stuff like that.
Aside from normal humor, I find some things funny that most people don't find funny, and vice versa. It's quite hard to specify. I like amusing things, irony, etc. I don't like most jokes that put someone/a group into weird light, such as blonde/negro jokes or Chuck Norris jokes. As an exception, I do like some lightbulb jokes, such as this one about lojbanists: Q: How many Lojbanists does it take to change a broken light bulb? A: Two: one to decide what to change it into, and one to figure out what kind of bulb emits broken light.
I guess a lot of TASVideos members are like that, including me.

Sorry, I don't speak Chinese.
I see. Our favorite joke is to take lame "jokes" and make them lamer. It's some kind of fad. As if I didn't know that already. :|
I think a lot of people who have read this will appreciate not only this video, but especially many of the comments on it. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Zc1Js9P3urw

There was something funny that was in the other movie that wasn't in this one, but that's no big deal.
I'm curious, what was the funny thing?
My favorite part that is missing from this new movie is when the automatic level up after finishing one of the levels allowed the magic to fill up after using fairy to go through a keyhole in one of the backtracking levels. I hope that conveys how I remember it happening; I don't even know if that's accurate right now.

I've also shown videos of bugs still not reproduced to-date, such as walking on the "top menu" area of the screen, and insta-killing Ganon using a potion upon entering his room.
If that last glitch were reproducible, I think that would make this a legitimate category (as legitimate as Mario 1 without B anyway). Of course I'd still like to see a new regular run and second quest run before this one.

TSA obviously did plenty of good things for the Zelda community, and it's quite possible that it wouldn't even exist in its present form or size without him being there in the beginning, but his legacy was severely tarnished in the last couple of years. Tub sums up his misdeeds pretty well. The biggest one probably is holding his LoZ and LttP videos and constantly mentioning them, thus discouraging interested speedrunners, while simultaneously admonishing others for doing the same thing.

Syncs with Direct64 plugin for those with glN64 problems. Be sure to enable mempack in the TAS plugin (though how it got enabled by the Boobiez I don't know).
I've tried 7 different video plugins and none of them agree with both my computer and the movie. A couple desynched somewhere in between the sword and the shield. I'd really like a video if anyone is up to it. Thanks.

I think a glitchiness rating alongside skill and entertainment would be useful. For most sites I'd say it's too cumbersome to implement, but I have faith in this site's abilities.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71pCMO4eidk ZFG: Someone with TAS: The first frame over the void, jumpslash (Have your sword already out while sidehopping). It should get you into the door, then just walk on through. Will be very hard on console.

I think it's kind of hard to accept this run until the potential improvement in the Mario 64 thread is addressed.

That was pretty entertaining, moreso than the any% run. The bonus levels are fun to see optimized, and I'd rather see some of the levels than shortcut barrels every course. Keep up the good work.

This movie desynchs for me. I think my settings are correct; the ROM appears to be right. I'm using Improvement 9.

Yeah, that's what I meant. My smb3 rom wasn't labeled, but I rechecked and it was PRG1. Sorry about that.
It's not a problem. I got it too work, and it had some potential, but I don't think it has a chance of being published. There's probably an easy way to see which ROM should be used, but I don't know what it is.
