This thread is crazy! XD I don't know where to start... -Mitjitsu, Plush wasn't referring to that situation or anyone working on the new run for that matter. -ALAKTORN, of course our submission will include all improvements. When has a modern 0-star ever been knowingly suboptimally submitted? We have reproduced more than you would assume. -Goombaheart, you post A LOT. You have a 10th of my posts (the majority in this thread) and have been a member for 1.5 months compared to my 6 years. Try to speak when spoken to instead of answering for everyone about everything and asking any question that comes to mind. I'm not saying don't post anything, but there's enough misinformation flying around without people who are somewhat clueless publicly making random speculations (that others assume to be fact). Now to answer you, the team is made up of a few people. The final author list may look different so it's not worth sharing who right now, but there are many great minds on this project at the moment

Why can't we all just work together like with the 120 star, this is so silly. Reminds me of those very old SDA days.
Because the SM64 community is full of possessive dicks lol, not going to name anyone though

I can't post a single thing here.... Even when it's worded with no malice and intended to inform about the subject everyone has been discussing/wondering here, lol. What I said had nothing to do with sharing information with Japanese SM64 TASers. In fact, I'm fairly certain Tyler Kehne is in the process of asking them to collaborate (not that we think they'll agree). The post after me by andypanther brought it up for whatever reason, but nothing I said was relevant to that. No one that is authoring this cares about BitFS being recreated like some users have implied. I swear, you all assume the worst in any scenario. There is nothing wrong with not announcing every single development we make, and I posted my other post after having all the other authors read it over. Sorry if it came off weird, I was simply formally announcing something already shared with the web Edit: If it wasn't obvious, let me word it in a single sentence: We just want to stun people with an awe-inspiring run out of nowhere rather than have people find out the method and wait months to see it in action.

BTW, part of me think they're being secretive on purpose, since the Japenese TASers were faster, and don't want to colab, from what I've heard.
Not too secret.. But you are right, we don't want to vocalize too much. The authors working on it prefer to be low-key like with previous runs we have worked on, that end with a surprise submission making everyone lose their minds from the hype. And this time will definitely be worth it, so be patient please! Basically what that picture was meant to confirm is that we found a way inside VCutM without the wing cap.

The bounty video explicitly states this potential glitch is not like the BitFS "pole" glitch which you would have known if you watched it in full. ;)

I'm done posting. This place disgusts me. Feel free to mock more, I'm sure the mods won't mind. :)

Clearly. And that was before I could screen cap more obvious proof because I was unfairly kicked from IRC during an argument I was winning

Can you please stop? This is the 2nd time in 2 threads in like 2 days. We get it, you don't like me.

Should probably remove “door” from the title of that vid. While it may make sense that you skipped the moat, the whole goal is to get to the moat door, so saying you skip the moat door doesn’t make any sense.
The title is meant to imply "bitdw skip that uses the moat door" but I can see the easy confusion.

First, yes, I did grammatically fix most of what he said here. Secondly, as Mothrayas stated, the rules were followed and there's no reason not to.

You've already had the views, sonicpacker, let tasvideos keep the consistency of having all the encodes on TVC from now on.
Thank you for letting your jealousy shine through just a little more :) And while you're suggesting to make this thread less controversial, you could try not being the root of controversey. The problem is over and the movie is properly published. Let it be. Edit: You literally backed out of judging this movie, how about you do the same now?

Nahoc caused a problem because of his personal issues with me. Mothrayas solved the problem. I deleted only what I said towards Nahoc, because as I said, there's no more problem. Obviously had it been someone other than Nahoc, I would've handled it differently. But his reply was out of spite and thinking he had power over something I wanted changed. I'm not okay with that but it's fixed now. Lastly, I don't need to call you a troll, you openly admitted it. Congrats on referencing totally irrelevant threads and your subjective view on them lol. Can we stick to SM74 and the publication? We were on the right track until your book.

Asking about money being made/distributed when there's no possibility of infringement isn't common courtesy. At least in the USA.

No need to wonder when you can just look at it. Not that this is something to compete/find offense over. I am simply using it as evidence for what the correct scenario for this situation would be, which is rightfully linking to my upload, as homerfunky requested.
This I've already done. Stop getting your panties in a twist over it.
If you read my last edit, I acknowledged it. I was simply clarifying why I brought the quality of feos's encode into question.

I'm sick of being discriminated against on this site for NO GOOD REASON. Over and OVER. Edit: THANK YOU MOTHRAYAS. The author and myself both appreciate it.

It's comical that personal hate gets in the way of obvious proof my encode is objectively better. You people are a bunch of immature children, not to mention disrespectful to the author that gave you this potentially popular run. And Nahoc, the mods can ban me, but you can go fuck yourself. You should have nothing to do with the publishing of this run due to me being involved. You are trash and your ex-friends all think so. I don't care if this doesn't get the link changed or progresses towards it. You're a garbage human being. Now to anyone with a fucking brain that has some power here, look at the fact that my encode is FAR superior (seriously, choppy frames AND the compression are absolutely ugly as fuck) and it's by the authors' request that it links to mine. That's all I have to say. And again, FUCK you Nahoc, you're disgusting.

Hum... hey, can I ask you something? Is that video you encoded monetized? Just to make sure you aren't gaining money from TASes you didn't made.
While I realize you might not qualify for who this was directed at, that was what this addressed:

Nintendo put the ad on this video. mini rant: And that's beside the point, homerfunky asked me to upload it knowing of my parntership. That shouldn't concern anyone on this site even if money was being made, because the author came to me. However, I'll have you know (though it's none of your business) I would've shared the revenue regardless of peoples' thoughts of me, if any were being made, unlike other cool people on this site.

homerfunky has trouble with English and asked me to post about the publication link again.
homerfunky wrote:
I would like if this movie is published that the movie link goes to the main upload
That's aside from the fact that the TVC encode is inferior to mine. Mine has the crop that viewers prefer (taking up the whole player), the FPS isn't choppy in random places throughout, and 1440p is superior to 1080. 60 FPS is also useless for this game (especially with choppy frames...). It also looks like my raw encode was either better or the "official" one is overcompressed. To people that hate me: Please don't make this about me, Nintendo has this upload claimed because of the Dire, Dire Docks music, and homerfunky himself wants this change.

Yes. It blacks out by itself and I attempted to cut the video at an appropriate audio interval.

My only suggestion to people who can't get it to sync is savestate as Mario is grabbing MIPS (or around there), and reload it in read-only until it hopefully syncs. I've never had one desync myself, and I am assuming homerfunky and I have totally different CPUs (his is older if I recall, and mine is not which is a reason I encoded).

Do you guys have the emulator sped up in anyway during the reset? If you haven't, try letting it run at regular 100% speed through that section
