Well, first of all, I never said the stars I upload to YouTube are optimal. Nor did I say they will be put into the TAS. Secondly, no offense, but Kyle, whenever I talk to you about it, you seem very uninterested and usually change the subject. Lastly, I'm not rushing. I'm taking my time, trying to organize everything with Nahoc, usually on a day-to-day basis. Right now, we are trying to figure out which stars involve luck manipulation. I haven't TASed anything for over 2 or 3 days now.

Treasure of the Ocean Cave I hate this run. It looks like crap (mostly because it is). But read the description for why it's crap. :P

Apparently I'm the only one who posts here, so sorry for the triple posting, but this is unrelated to the above posts. Probably not useful.

Unless one more frame can be saved on the way to the elevator, I think this is optimal for now: Behind Chain Chomp's Gate - 9"36

What Kyman said. I have done one star runs on my Wii, non TAS of course.

What do you call a "speed glitch"? Because wall kicking retains and adds speed if done on the first frame, isn't that a speed glitch? In which case, the current route for (BLJless or w/e) Shoot to the Island in the Sky wouldn't be allowed (it's in Kyman's old WIPs).

mapler90210 deserves credit for the route, and he TASed over half of it, as you can see from the annotations. And the only thing "improvable" would be Koopa manipulation to make him get there faster. But nobody knows for sure, how Koopa's speed works.

It's ok andymac. He has to trash others so he can make himself feel bigger. If that keeps him happy, let it go. :) On topic: I don't blame them for not releasing WIPs. Say they do 4 stars in 1 week. The next week, people will expect 8 stars to be done. People would expect work to get done at a certain speed. At least that's what I think. And good job on finalizing the route (if that is what Nahoc meant...).

No. The values were just changed in AVI Capture each frame. It was to show Mario's speed. Doesn't affect anything. And you can't use codes in Mupen anyway.

Where does MIPS 2 play into that? How exactly would you get from DDD room to LLL without opening the star door? Wouldn't it be less traveling if you went to SSL then LLL then HMC? Where would secret aquarium play into this? After JRB? EDIT for sonicpacker: You still need enough stars for MIPS #2!
BBH shouldn't have any effect on MIPS2 or the route of those levels. I said to do it afterwards. *edit* Another question would be, is it faster to skip DDD and do BitFS first, or just Side BLJ into DDD first?

Yes you do. How many are required? I apparently forgot. Lol. *thinks 50*

What if entering BBH, warping out and using the second key is faster than walking through the courtyard door after BBH and using the first key? *edit* You know, BBH doesn't have to be done with the rest of the "first set" (lobby) of levels.
