Can somebody remind me how we know that doing BitDW first is faster than entering a course?

Ok. I swear. I am done with this star. I'm 80% sure this is optimal unless a new route comes along: Chill with the Bully :P

I think ThMrksman is right. Because you don't "stick" to the BoB stairs. You fly off into the wall.

I wasn't saying it in a cocky way, like "Oh duh you shouldve seen it already!" I meant that you could go see it if you havent already.

Uhm, ToolAssist BLJ'd on the BoB stairs in one of his newer freeruns. I tried on WF stairs when I was a much worse TASer and had a crappy angle, but it was possible.

I was replying to him also, not you. We did it at the same time. I was explaining what Kirkq meant.

You do a BLJ, C-Up off a wall (after getting metal cap) and you can slide under water.

1. Agreed 100% - Not even close to maxed because of HSF. 2. I don't know if you can get enough speed, but it is worth testing for sure. 3. Olaus009 used a new route for Through the Jet Stream but that is the only video I know of. 4. I guess we could. I didn't really think about that.

Now I usually try not to double post, but this is completely irrelevant to my post above. Nahoc, and I, have decided to start from scratch by creating a new route for a 120 Star run. This is due to many new glitches being found, eg, Hyperspeed Flying, retaining your speed in the water and on poles/trees. Not to mention many new routes for stars as well, such as, "Through the Jet Stream." In this case, the new route for that star requires a Metal Cap, which in RobZ's WIP was not unlocked at the time of doing Jolly Roger Bay. ______________________ This is all we have so far: BitDW+Red Coins PSS Sub-21 Seconds Whomp's Fortress (hexing in RobZ's unless anything new is found) Cool, Cool Mountain The Tower of the Wing Cap Bob-Omb Battlefield ______________________ Notice that Jolly Roger Bay, is not on the list as of yet. The last thing I have to say regarding a route is that all the 100 Coin stars (being grouped with another star, of course) will be the final star(s) of each course. Any criticism, ideas, and/or suggestions are accepted. Nahoc, and I, thank you ahead of time! :D

I'm just waiting for further direction. I already made a new strat for Mario Wings to the Sky, and now I don't know what to do next. But I am also a part of this.

Uhm, it was only 585 rerecords... It didn't take that long. Unless you mean the reason why I made an account. Then yes, it was because I was bored :P

This is my first here. I have been an active SM64 TASer for a while now. Mario Wings to the Sky 23"93 Previous record was 25"77 by Kyman. *edit* Just got 23"90. Yay, for 1 frame improvements! w00t! k
