it's been about 9 months since this thread came up so i'd like to ask again. Any thoughts on implementing support for PBP files for PS1 games?

AH sorry! I was unaware. I know lots of forums discourage necrobumps. Would you prefer I go ahead and bump that one and you delete this one? I can go ahead and do that if that's better.

thanks for the reply, I found the old thread just now I didn't want to necro it because it's about two years old old thread here: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20563&highlight= it looks like that thread is mainly focused on CHD, (which I agree is probably going to turn into an issue if support is attempted) but PBP is Sony's own format they use that natively runs on their own hardware. It's just smaller, completely lossless, and allows for storing multiple disc games as one single file. I know it was looked at once, but again that was two years ago and I'd appreciate another look if at all possible.

I'd like to know whether there are any plans/progress on Bizhawk adding support for loading Playstation 1 games in .PBP format. This is a compressed format that is much easier on storage space compared to any other format. It runs on ePSXe and on the PS Classic Mini console. I would like to run them in bizhawk without having to convert back to bin/cue or iso or any other format so that I can use the shuffler with PS1 games.
