Q & A for DemonStrate Q: What do you mean by 'open paths'? A: What I mean by "path" is a part (extension) of the room that leads to a transition, another room loaded independently. I consider it "open" when there's no door that obstructs it (or any manual trigger, like "!") and a clip possibility (like in Rogueport Sewers or Shhwomp Fortress). Paths can be: - Partial: Solid invisible walls extend on the side, but not on the back, so it's possible to perform a jump from the extreme corner in the back (before falling) to the other side of the wall/inside the wall, and then walk back near the actual room to clip; - Complete : No solid walls once you cross the trigger (sides and back, the case in Boggly Woods and a lot of open areas); - Closed (completely solid): No way to get OoB from the inside, because there's walls everywhere (cannot fall). Q: Couldn't you use this method of getting into the walls of a room to skip any room that has a locked door that needs a key? A: It's not a question of locks or locked doors: It's all about triggers. If the trigger responsible of the transition activates when the room is loaded (or you already activated it), then yes. Otherwise, no. Q: Or, are the loading triggers only activated when you actually interact with the locked doors? A: For doors, as far as I know, yes. Q: In Chapter 4, when you keep running away from Doopliss, could you use the Goombella trick above to pass over the trigger zone so you don't need to exit the name screen, and run away from the battle? A: Same as Malleoz. And even with Vivian buffering I don't think it would be possible (because it's a cutscene triggered when you cross a line on the X axis. This line may extends over the solid contour of the room). Need to add the fact that solid objects (or even holes or water) might block the way after you OoB (and it happens often). Q & A for jlun2 Q: Does that work for chests (Flurrie Superslide)? A: No. Q: Also, I'm wondering how much you can explore the space station early using just the flurrie slide. A: You can't clip in the Teleporter room with the Superslide. Also, the glitch is not working at all with the elevators inside the station (I tested that yesterday). So it's completely useless for Chapter 7. It's clear, isn't it? ;)

Saves time if done correctly. Optimally, about 15-20 seconds in TAS for each room. Doable on console, but needs some practice and a viable setup. More info in the vid description: Link to video

Small timesaver to end the day! :D Link to video - May skip partner's text and the e-mail (need test); - The "cacophony" may produce lag during gameplay/cutscenes (same); - The garbage remix will stay until next battle. Saves a couple of seconds. EDIT: btw if someone is able to run aldelaro5's savestates, could you please do a .gci pack based on it? I tried with both Dolphin x32/x64, newer/older versions and it crashes everytime. That would be awesome for testing and could also be used on console! :)

Oh my gosh, thank you! :D And you can re-enter that room and open the chest and everything?
I play on a completed savefile, so the chests are already open, the Lock is off and the items on the ground are taken. The 2 chests seem to load with the area. I don't know for the items on the ground (that's why it needs some testing w/ a Chapter 4 savefile). Because the chests are already loaded, you can directly interact with them. No need to re-enter the room.

Just did it via Eve's house's left wall. I'll upload a video soon. EDIT: There it is! :D Link to video

Just found a little timesaver for 100%/All Badges runs (a quite obvious one, I think): Link to video It may be harder in RTA, but definitely saves some time in a TAS. I can only hope more and more stuff will be discovered. I'm looking forward your TAS! :D - M.P.
