You said you tried Windows XP Trial. Have you tried Windows XP Pro? Also, did you make sure it was completely updated?
I did the procedure to install VirtualBox with the full version of Windows XP SP3 and still giving the same problem described in this print. If I record a new movie he synchronizes, but my old and full movies are not syncing. I'm desperate and do not know what else to do, I do not know what happened to me have all this sad misfortune of my movies do not work. Someone can encode for me? Hmm, that is a hard problem. I'm a little surprised that VM didn't work. I assume you used the same Hourglass version that you used to make the videos? Have you tried Hourglass in Windows 8.1 with WinXP compatibility mode?
Put in compatibility mode does not help, still not working.

If you can still get XP drivers for your new PC then you could install XP on a separate partition (reduce the main partition first with e.g. a Linux boot CD and gparted) or on a separate HDD.
I do not know how to do this and can not do, for I am not yet technical computing. So I turned the virtual machine, which some said they managed to make it work Hourglass but in my case kept giving desync. For these reasons I am asking for help to see if there is something wrong with the virtual machine I chose (Windows XP trial and VirtualBox) based on FractalFusion instructions or if someone could do these encodes for me.

Hello friends! I also recorded videos of Rosenkreuzstilette but are videos of flawless playthrough (mix of Speedrun and longplay with high precision in the actions and made with frame advance). Until August last year I was still using Windows XP on my old computer (which broke) and now I have a new computer with Windows 8.1. That Windows XP Professional I could record and synchronize movies Hourglass with no problem, but I tried to use VirtualBox with Windows XP Trial (like FractalFusion said) and giving desync, managed to install the virtual machine but I can not synchronize, and the settings used to record the time were: Version 1.05c in english with the Hourglass was the necessary: Runtime -> Locale App -> FORCE ENGLISH LOCALE Multithreading and Wait Sync -> ALLOW Emulator used: Hourglass r81 I made these settings in the virtual machine and gives desync, tried so other settings but nothing work. Would if I test another version of Windows XP without the trial will it work. I want to encode the two videos and I can not. I hope you can answer my message. Thank you! I want to encode my two Tool Assisted Flawless Playthroughs (one with Spirita and another with Grolla) in HD and put on my channel. I hope an answer!

After appending avi segments in VirtualDub the audio/video gradually desyncs until the end of the video for me. Is there an easy way to fix this? Or another method that people use for appending avi segments?
I recorded longplays and i use VirtualDUB to compress my files in one single, follow this: I - Select your already recorded AVI video (Open AVI File), if it has been in several parts when you finished recording then select "Append AVI Segment" and select Part 2 to join all! II - In the "Audio" select "Full Processing Mode" III - In the "video" select "Compression" and then choose the Lagarith codec and then leave the "force keyframes every" ON and with the number 60. IV - Then go back to "Video", select the "Framerate" and set as follows: - Source rate adjustment = Change so video and audio durations match (???* fps) - Convert to FPS: 60 * Note: This number can vary but does not change anything, so always make that step IV setup as I said. V - Now you can save a new AVI without desyncs and with 60 fps! I hope this has helped, if you're in any doubt that you can talk to me. Good luck!

Working perfect. Thank you very much feos!

Aka, a new file all together.
Forgive me Spikestuff, but I'm still not understanding. I know how to remove the problem without subtitles to let clean segments, but I'm still struggling to make these segments without the logo. You could put some prints or something? If so I would be very grateful.

If you want a non-logo encode for the extended parts just make a new avs and use:
Language: AviSynth

Open("video_20.avi") + Open("video_21.avi")#Pretend this is a long Open String function Open(string FileName) {AVISource(FileName) PointResize(640,480)}
I still can not understand Spikestuff, where in the encode.avs file do I put this? It's something I have to replace in the script? I tried to create an AVS file with only this information but gives error. And I tried to look up the word "open" but it does not exist in encode.avs

Do you mean you have several segments, as in, several avi files, that you want to join together?
What I would like to know in general is how to make that there are those 2 seconds of the intro to the second video segment encode. You could explain me if there is anything I can change the encode.avs to have not those two seconds before the video started?

Hello everybody's TASVideos, I am writing this message to solve a doubt about encode, I used TASEncoding Package and is spectacular. My question is: If I'm doing long game encode (RPGs for example) I can use the function to give savestate the F8, F9 (a different button and away from the usual F1, F2 and F3 to use during playing game) and continue the extraction of video opening the movie in "ready only" and giving load on F8. But, how do I encode the second part without the two seconds of the intro? That line the AVS I must change for this? Usually i join parts in MKV together in a single file using the mmg (MKV Merge GUI), but you more techniques encode? I can continue/resume encoding in global.bat where you left off or have to do it all at once? Another question: I have two movies Hourglass I recorded when I was using Windows XP and how now I have a new computer with Windows 8.1 and Hourglass does not work on this operating system. Could someone tell you what I could do to make the encode these movies? Or someone could make them encode in HD for me? I await the answers, thank you.

It's just awful play with frame advance repeatedly pressing button, much better advance the frames holding the button like in another emulators. The version I'm using are the Dolphin 5.0-rc-33 and Dolphin 4.0-7844, I am testing these newer versions for fear of giving desync in other versions. Is possible to fix these frame advance problem?

Hello TASVideos friends. I finally bought a new computer and I'm starting to use the Dolphin, with the appropriate settings and a good computer emulator works well but I have a cruel doubt: I know use frame advance but at the Dolphin button does not work if I hold only it works by pressing "a frame yes, another frame no" only to walk and it is horrible to play. There's no way I use frame advance at Dolphin holding the button as it is in other emulators?

Great run Le Hulk. Good to know that my TFP video helped you to make this TAS ... that was my first video made with frame advance, before that I did not know how to use this function only with flawless playthrough of Super Turrican I could do more easily.
