You know those sonic 2 level maps? Well, could someone rip the maps for the final weapon levels and the space port level in megaman x4 for me? Its not for tasing (no WAY am i gonna tas a playstation game, stupid computer filesize limits), but for something else that my dad's workin on at work. Could someone please do this for me? PLEASE!? I'll give you JUMBO credit!

Also, I'm done with super power island and just have mythology left to go, then I'll have a tiny bit of optimization to do (easy :) ) and then I'll put up the full run!
No way ill be able to replicate that. And dont forget, I'm trying to do it WITHOUT going offscreen and left+right, so I guess I can just optimize my run as much as possible but not go WAY fast like you. After all, theres no submitted runs of Amy in Sonic 2, so I don't HAVE to go too fast yet. Don't forget, either, that I'm still new to TASing, so I can't do THAT much yet. |:/
Also, I haven't really watched the screencast yet 'cause my dad wanted me to try TASing something else since I was ... Obsessing a bit with amy in sonic 2. I've been doing Poptropica Adventures DS for the time being and I'm almost done with it, so when I'm done, I'll continue the Amy in Sonic 2 run.

Remember the team blast charge secret that was put in the game (flight mode>power switch+b simultaneously) for bosses. Hmmmm ... Does it work for metal overload, too?
A few cool facts about the physics:
*Rolling as soon as you start moving instantly takes you to top speed, which is still slow, but top speed nonetheless. This trick removes the worry about acceleration.
*Rolling past someone makes it so you can't press the B button to talk to them, but you can press the B button to enter other areas. This trick allowed me to auto fire B to enter areas as quickly as possible without accidently talking to people.
*There are some people who you have to talk to, and with the delay from rolling, you lose a few frames to start the conversation, causing a problem if you decided to use they "Rolling Start" trick. Therefore, you have to use normal acceleration to start the conversation earlier (I need to optimize this --'). However, there are some people who automatically trigger conersations when you approach them (only people related to the main quest, of course) even if you roll at them, so don't worry.
I know I know, I've put alot on my plate recently. Atlantis Squarepantis is easy for me to real life TAS (figure of speech), but a pain to actually TAS, I'll start it when I'm done with the verification movie. Then there's the KSSU TAS. I need MUGG to send me the movie files and I need to finish myself. Then we have Amy in Sonic 2. My dad wanted me to try something different for a while since I seemed to be obsessing a bit with it. Finally, we have this.
Luckily, I'm making good progress on this. The puzzles are simple enough (for me, anyways), and it's also easy to optimize, so I'm confirming that this is the one that I'm finishing first. I'll post up my WIP (it'll probably be the only one before test runs) this afternoon, when I get home. I made this topic at school :P
zwataketa, you told me in PM that you cannot use my input because I abuse zips. May you please show where I abused zip? I think going offscreen should not be considered as a zip…
Also I am quite sure that you need some practice with this game, no offence, but your runs are still way less optimized than mine, and instead of starting a serious project, I would suggest you to learn a little… For example, try to get 0:17 in EHZ1. Or 0:25 in GHZ1 (Amy Rose in Sonic 1). Then try to optimize it further. My best results for the moment are 0:16.28 and 0:24.22…

well, by zip I mean I don't abuse parts where I go to fast for the camera and go offscreen and/or teleport to a compltely different part of the level. so yeah.
You could ask a mod to delete it if that's not against the rules or something. or just let it die and fade into the back of the forum as you post in the more active Sonic Hacks thread. :V

Best boss music in the series. And its not that bad a game (haven't played it but i've seen videos of it and I've heard what people said about it and Flame Hyenard is ANNOYING and sure the controls are a little whack, but it still seems like it'd make a great TAS when a stable PS2 emulator comes.) If you could manipulate a way to get rid of flame hyenards talking with TAS, YOU'RE GONNA BE AMAZING!
good news i got it im trying it with techno the gamma project demo 3, but it needs altered settings.
All you have to do is mention what the setting are changed and the people would change their settings to view the tas. It won't be hard. (cannot remember which windows tas does that)
I meant i NEED altered settings to play it through hourglass, i dont have them.
Keep changing the settings until a combination works, and record said combinations on notepad.

I have my doubts that this would be any good to watch. The game just blew, and outside of using shortcuts, there's not much you can do.
Also, I don't think Yabause can run it any good (haven't checked).
It's okay. Just continue the movie where you left off and go back and get everything you need to earn the statue.
Yeah, its not about the movie, im not collecting the statues so that i can collect them in the real run. I just mean, ive had the real game this whole time, thinking i had it 100%, but i was missing one thing that whole time. Thats a little embarrassing :P
