Hey all, just wanted to let you know that all of my timeattacks are available at my Filespace page; the patched FCE Ultra is also there if any of you don't have it. Here are some comments on each: Castle of Dragon: Enemy behavior requires a lot of luck manipulation. The flame sword is weird; generally you make it last longer by continually firing it, but sometimes you have to stay still while firing it and sometimes you can jump. The mace randomly damages you when you swing it; I avoid this except for a couple areas where it is necessary, as it slows the game down a bit. And yes, the sword is the only thing that damages the last boss. =/ Sword Master: Jumping moves you forward more quickly than walking. If enemies are knocked into the corner, they can't be damaged until they come out. Magic uses up your experience points, and killing stuff builds experience. Oh, and the actual time for this is around 5:55 or 5:56. The emulator screwed up the displayed time for some reason. Dash Galaxy: Not much to say here, the low rerecord count pretty much speaks for itself. Not a difficult game, but an interesting run for those who have played it and know how gargantuan (over 100 levels) and confusing it can be. Wai Wai World: In addition to what I've already talked about in the thread for that game, Moai seems to have a less powerful version of the Castlevania critical hit glitch (you'll see me use it on the green dragons in his level). This will be useless in version 2 (thanks to a hidden exit in that level), though. So, everyone, if you could, please watch these movies and give feedback! =) -Josh
but then you take my 75 perchance chance of winning, if we was to go one-on-one, and then add 66 and two-thirds ch...percents...i got a 141 and two-thirds chance of winning at sacrifice

Then download FCEU. I gave the link in some page on Bisqwit site. Something like Where to download emulators with movie support.

Nice vids, thanks. It's sooooo much better to watch NES movies at 60fps, Famtasia is all choppy as hell for me. Plus, FCEU has much better sound and color pallette. I hope someone writes a FMV->FCM conversion utility so I can watch all the movies on the site in a better emu.

That would be nice to have this feature.

I've heard of someone converting Famtasia videos into VirtuaNES videos, but they didn't always work due to very tiny emulation differences. Usually they would desync in seconds. So this would only work for a few games probably. By the way, what is it at this point that prevents the patched FCEU (with movie rerecording, slowdown and single-frame-advancement) from being supported on this site?

The laziness of the author of the site in question to study how FCEU rerecording works.

Hey all, if anyone here has any comments about my movies (aside from stuff already posted in the Wai Wai World thread), it would be appreciated if you can post them. I want these videos to be high-quality enough for this site (well, Dash Galaxy probably has no hope, but Castle of Dragon and Sword Master certainly should!). Thanks, Josh.

I'll tell you something right now, there are two problems with this emulator that I've noticed, one minor and one major: 1. It seems to always screw up the displayed time for Sword Master movies. 2. Changing the speed within the movie tends to make it desync. If the second one can be fixed, I see no reason for this not to become the standard for NES videos (you can always time the movies yourself, with your computer clock). -Josh
Josh, you can report bugs at this page: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1020

Ah, thanks Phil! Couldn't delete my last post, so I made it into something more on-topic instead... -Josh
