When I load any game with Famtasia, the sound pops and stutters for roughly a second before I get a "famtasia510-patched.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" error. If I increase the sound buffer, the error takes a bit longer to appear. I've found that disabling sound output altogether allows the emulator to run normally. Anybody else encounter a similar issue? I'm running an SB Audigy 2 ZS sound card with the latest drivers. The system is a Pentium 4 3.2Ghz running WinXP SP2. Thanks.

Your computer is too fast. I only wish I was joking. I don't know of a workaround, either. Sorry.

Well, I think I'll keep the fast computer. ;) *looks for a Windows equivalent to the old "slow.exe" for DOS games*

Using a program called "CPUkiller" to tie up processor time - no effect Underclocking to 2.4GHz - no effect Changing from Creative to KX Project sound driver - no effect Well, I guess I'm just not meant to have sound in Famtasia. If it is truly a speed issue, I guess I'll have to wait until somebody can recompile the program with longer numeric data types in the sound frequency divisions.

The source for Famtasia has been lost. It will not recompiled. And way, listening to sound in slow motion sucks anyway.

AHA! Fixed it. The "occupation slider" patch was causing it, for whatever reason.
