- used ranped kombat
Rom: Mortal Kombat 3.gb
Tasvideos hello people here I bring a speedrun in Mortal Kombat 3 gb and inspired me in many TAS I've seen on youtube this is my first TAS I climb because I could finally register on this page well I hope you enjoy it.
Well for starters in this TAS mortal kombat use a new glitch with cirax skip making the second round in every battle except against shao kang the glitch is to throw a bomb with cirax and then grab the opponent that it does is skip the round and going to finish him and also use the randper kombat it does is switch to other character randomly and also with some infinite combos that can be done only with cirax, Sindel subzero and hope you like it

Flygon: Added YouTube module.
Nach: judging.
Flygon: I do not understand the arbitrary bar adding.
Speaking of adding, added the HQx button. My subscribers are going to be so confused... The video desynced. Keeping this one Archive.org only.

Nach: This game is pretty bad. They tried to make it rather detailed on a small screen with few colors, which ends up making everything hard to see and appreciate. Less detailed graphics would actually have more of a visual appeal in this case. The sound leaves much to be desired, it's almost like they ran the arcade's music and sound effects through a low quality resampler and left it at that. The speed of the game is so slow, it is annoying to watch without some sort of tempo control.
In terms of the run itself, it is rather repetitive, and doesn't offer much to redeem this abysmal game. The entertainment just isn't there like most of our other Mortal Kombat runs. Rejecting.

Nach: Despite how horrible this game is, it looks like a good fit for the vault.

I was surprised by this - it definitely had its funny moments, and the round glitch is very cool. I also laughed, audibly, twice. It does offer something extremely different than the last published MKII run. The final fight left a lot to be desired, as it is too repetitive, but that doesn't stop my yes vote.
Sage advice from a friend of Jim: So put your tinfoil hat back in the closet, open your eyes to the truth, and realize that the government is in fact causing austismal cancer with it's 9/11 fluoride vaccinations of your water supply.

I approve of this submission. Point based HD encode, HQx based HD encode, and SD encode coming right up.

Are we witnessing the beginning of a flood of new MK playarounds? If so, I'm not complaining. For what I personally tried this game, I was disappointed by the game's natural lagginess. I tested the Cyrax fatality glitch that is included on your run too, and had a small laugh, but then returned to my findings from MK II in a fit of impatience. I didn't expect this game to have glitches like this. Skipping the second rounds? Genius. The glitched babalities were really nice too. The first half of the run was better than the second, since the tricks started to repeat there, but still. This was a nice run to view. Yes vote. I might try to glitch this game some more myself at some point.

Voted meh. It looked technically impressive, but like Nicos mentioned, the music was annoying. Also, for me, the game felt like I was watching a similar but inferior version of the SNES games. A bit like watching a show then watching it agan on a grainy black/white TV I guess.

The second-round glitch is pretty nice, but it's overused. Because you have to become Cyrax for this glitch, and you need to set up the net and grenade, you make the round endings repetitive. Also, you get fewer chances to demonstrate cool combos and fighting styles of other characters. The last match was also pretty disappointing. I'm voting Meh on this. I think it's nice but could be done better with more careful planning of entertainment. Also, this game version seems particularly awful for a GB version of an MK game, as was already pointed out.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

God I hope so, though I can't say I'm excited about the game choices. That said, I'm voting a very weak yes. Not your fault, mind you, but the game itself is just so poorly made. It was mildly entertaining though. Good thing for the second round glitch, or the movie would've been too long. But can I say with all due respect, can we move on to better versions of the games? I realize we have movies and they'd be pretty hard to beat but these Gameboy versions are very weak entries in the series. Aren't there lots of different glitches in MKT (for Playstation)?

Is there a reason why the final fight was so incredibly boring? Also, why was Cyrax used so often for fatalities? Couldn't it have been mixed up a bit, with Sonia or Subzero doing some killing? Because of those reasons, I have to vote no. I would vote yes on a more entertaining run.

Damn, I thought it was hard to see someone submit a run of MK3 more boring than the tournament mode run... Definitely, it's indeed necessary to publish every category of every port of every MK game because of all different gameplay aspects they have, isn't it? Sorry, Thevlackdemonn2294, but this run is getting a strong No vote from me. TASes of fighting games need to entertain by showing a lot of the game and giving an outstanding impression of tool assistance. The combos here are slow paced and very repetitive. In fact, most of the entertainment is provided by skipping the game with the Cyrax glitch instead of showing it. The bad graphics and music don't help either. Aside from that, I've already seen movies get rejected for playing an inferior port even when there was no quality submission of a better port. There really is no reason to publish this. Couldn't you MK TASers decide on the best game and do a run that really shows the potential of this series?

Here's my two apologetic cents. Although the two games (SNES and GB versions of Mortal Kombat III) are based on the same license, they have different mechanics & glitches. I don't mentally compare them as a superior and inferior port, but instead two different games... and as a fan of the series, two different opportunities for MK games to TAS and see TASed. While this movie is not optimal in entertainment (lacking variety), the author states showing glitches and those few infinites as his goal. On solely those terms, at least, this movie is a success.

Why is the branch "glitched"? If a run uses glitches, that doesn't really mean it needs a glitched branch. A run that warps to the final level using a glitch deserves "Glitched". Not this. Will actually watch the game run later

It's essentially skipping half of the mode's 'content', if you consider the second round content.

Pretty much my thoughts. The two extremely glitched fat/bab-alities (where the opponent continues to fight you after they're dead) was kinda awesome, but the rest of the run was boggy and not very entertaining too me. There was also way too much Cyriax net-bomb-roundhouse-net-bomb action. The graphics make everything look like a blur too, which decreases its watchablity for me. Thanks for the couple of laughs, but overall I don't think this is publication worthy.

= ( ..don't be discouraged friend good luck on your next attempt, you have a great potential, I see you have a good performance, if you try to mk2, MK3 or UMK3 mkt .. I also know you know many glitches in each one them. so, what about you start something like that? detail, beware of excessive repetitions of movements or of fighters don't forget = D
whatever worth doing, is worth doing well

I think this TAS be repetitive to even be accepted but also had its good parts as glitches and other cool stuff who made the TAS cool even being accepted by Vault i really think this should be accepted even though it is still a good TAS obsolete in some parts but excellent is another good submission mk ;D
