Comments

I had never played this game until I started TASing it on January 23rd. I had a look at bobmario511's run and found some improvements here and there. Overall, I ended up saving 1 minute and 25 seconds.
Chameleon twist has a total of 6 levels, which only 4 are needed to be played through in order to reach the end; Ant Land and Desert Castle are skipped because they are way slower.
I might re-do this run someday with better optimization. I had to drop about 3 frames in the entire run for luck manipulation purpose, which is very good.
I hope you enjoy this run!

I don't really see anything noticeably suboptimal in this run at all. Errors were quite pervasive in the previous run. Also I was pleasantly surprised in a couple spots. Yes vote to a much needed improvement.

Great improvements, loved seeing some of the new tricks used in this run (the one that got me the most was the first candle-platform room in the final level, brilliant time save). Yes vote.

Pretty nice! I especially liked how you'd hold enemies in your mouth and use them in other rooms. The midair tongue grabs were also awesome. Three questions though: * Sometimes, when vaulting yourself upward from your tongue, you land very quickly. Other times, there's a delay when the tongue is bending. Why does the delay happen? * In Bomb Land, when you reveal one of the O-tiles to open the door, you take damage when you do so. Is that necessary for the fastest solution? Given how long Davy's damaged pose lasts on the ground, it seems like you could dodge the enemy a little bit, not take damage, and save time. * When fighting the boss of Kids land, you take a lot of damage. Is there a reason for this? Otherwise, it looks fairly sloppy. In any case, these are minor concerns. Yes vote.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

For some reason Mupen64 crashes during video capture when it reaches a part in the ending credits. It's possible for me to do an encode leaving the credits out of it but it's prolly easier to let someone else that don't get this crash give it a go.

IMO you should produce an encode without the credits, at least for distribution via YouTube.

Same thing happened to me with both the camstudio codec and the lagarith codec.

Great Improvement, Nahoc! There are some parts that I loved the most: -The beating of rock enemy early with great spider combos in Jungle Island -Amazing bomb combos in an area where you stuck last time when you gave me a mission in Bomb Land but you did it better and also in an area going to a boss battle -The skipping of wafer wall in fifth area in Kids Land without taking damage :) -The beating of pogo enemy with great cookie combos and chocolate combos in Kids Land also -Amazing fire combos in Ghost Castle I vote YES! In the future, I will do TASing a 100% (all crowns) run, with a help.

You seemed to take damage at times where it looked like it may be slower to do so a few times. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that that is not the case. Yes vote. This is easily better than what I would have managed!

The outside music of Jungle Island reminds me of SNES Goof Troop. Pretty entertaining run and a very nice improvement to the current publication. Yes vote.

The game itself is graphically eh, but the run breaks it down and makes it cry. Yes from me.
