I want make a TAS of a race in Star Wars Episode 1: Racer but when I use frame advance it seems to step 2 or 3 frames forward instead of just one. I read in this thread that this de-synch is due to the game requiring the 4Mb memory expansion pack. Is there a setting I can turn on in Mupen64 that emulates this memory pack?

Is it really a desync, or is it just the game being laggy? You might have your frame-advance action defaulting to skipping lag frames, since you can't provide input during those frames anyway.

I have no idea. Are there any frame advance settings I can adjust? I can't find anything regarding skipping lag frames. When I frame advance through the intro video clip, it goes 1 frame at a time as it should, then every so often it plays 2 frames. In the menus and diring gameplay, it almost always plays 2 or 3 frames at a time. This doesn't happen with any of the other games I've tested. They all advance 1 frame at a time.
