Summary

So bad, this is a nice game but not for TAS.
For today. Having a funny time.

It looks like someone like it to be rejudged for Vault. So I set it to new
FractalFusion: Replaced movie file with FCM file that syncs. The movie requires FCEU 0.98.28 and does not sync in FCEUX if converted to FM2.
feos: Accepting to Vault.
Guga: Processing...
feos: Sorry, by my fault, this one wasn't investigated, and it seems boss fights (the only thing you can speedrun in this game) are slower with 2 players. Rejecting due to poor feedback and unvaultable goal...
Noxxa: Putting back the branch name. Let this be a lesson to judges and publishers (particularly Spikestuff, who removed the "2 player" branch name) alike that branches are relevant even when they do not appear to be, and should not be haphazardly removed from submissions.

Like you said, this isn't really a good game for a TAS. Some may find it entertaining though. I think the movie desyncs around frame 57300. I have Old PPU enabled, so I don't think my emulator settings are the problem. Abstaining from voting until the movie syncs.

This one is recorded in FCEU 0.98.16 And I converted it to fm2 in FCEUX 2.1.0 So,it can sync from convert back.
Do the work.

I don't know how to convert it back. Do you have the original FCEU movie?

OK, the FCEU movie syncs perfectly and I was able to watch it to the end of the game. I don't know why the converted FCEUX movie desyncs though. I tried converting the original movie in FCEUX 2.1.4a and that converted movie didn't sync either. I would suggest submitting the .fcm instead, since only that one syncs. Edit: Also, I think this run was entertaining enough and should be published.

I liked the part where you didn't shoot anybody. Except for the level bosses, who got cornholed so fast they didn't even have time to ask for a reacharound.

Nice run. A lot better than I would have expected. Though, were you going for fastest time? It seems when shooting the boss, you don't shoot all the time.

I shoot the boss all the time. Sometime boss gets unbeatable mode and cannot take damage,so I don't attack.
Do the work.

Since we have the Vault now, you could uncancel this and have it published if you want. I think it would be a nice addition to the site.

Either someone is trolling or not (because I cannot be bothered looking into it). Yes

If pacifist ends up losing time, then it's not vaultable. :/ I'm not trolling either. Edit: And please don't expect me to know all about this game given the informative submission text. >.>

Another bunch of misplaced runs accepted before Vault existed.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

I think the run can best be compared to Silver Surfer (in Spikestuff's link), where it doesn't matter if you shoot the enemies in the autoscrollers or not, as long as you destroy the bosses as fast as possible.

Four out of five runs on that list were judged and published after the Vault and tiers were introduced. The Silver Surfer run set the precedent that pacifist runs of shmups can be accepted to the Vault, as long as the pacifism does not cost time (and hence is not an actual part of the branch) and the run time is meaningfully different from real-time runs. The 2-player category is also eligible for the Vault if it is faster than 1 player. If those criteria are met in this run, then it can be published to the Vault.

Yeah, I'm corrected.

Now as Spike removed the 2p branch (because there's no 1p counterpart yet), I guess we can remove the pacifist branch as well, since that is not a restriction time-wise, just a feature.

Yes, that's a good idea. The branch was removed from Silver Surfer too, for the same reason. It can keep the "Pacifist version" movie tag though.

feos, did you check whether the two-player and pacifist branches of this run actually do not cost any time at all in the run?

Ugh.. maybe I'm really tired or busy :( The level doesn't care about 2p or pacifust, but the boss has 15 less HP with 1p, and the second player when participating can not seem to speedup the fight at all! His bullets just won't register. This results in a faster boss fight when you're alone, given the same rate of shooting. Rejecting I guess. Damn.

Oh wow, didn't see that coming. Sorry about that, x2poet. I hope this didn't discourage you in any way.
