• Aims for fastest time
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Emulator used openMSX 0.8.1
  • BIOS used Panasonic FS-A1WSX
The movie is 1 minute and 53 seconds fsater than this one.
The main timesaver come from level 1 by using WIT's double jump, I also improved some boss fight and details.

DarkKobold: I'll take care of this one.

DarkKobold: All around good response, and awesome damage boosting. Looked like good planning as well. Accepting.

GabCM: I'll reencode this. Then, I'll publish.

Link to video yes vote from me this time. Excellent run and good use of the power ups, in some areas it looks like Konami expected TAS runs.

That run was absolutely great. This must be a hell of a game to plan a route for, let alone optimize it, and I loved it. The damage boosts were once again very nice as were the boss fights. Just one question, why did you end up collecting 418 coins if you didn't have any use for them? Anyway, great movie, votin' yes on this

Good question: what is your coin strategy? Sometimes, it is as if you don't pick up coins that would cost time and sometimes it is as if you spend extra time to pick up coins. Another question: you do use Wit's special ability now, but I haven't seen any use of Cles's 'walk through air'. Are you sure there was no place to make use of that? Otherwise: a SUPERB run of a fantastic game :)

Actually, I didn't collect them purposely, but they are too easy to get.

In level 1 - 3, I need coins to increase player's ability, so I collect many coins even although spend a few time.

Indeed I didn't find where I can use Cles' special ability.

This was a lot of fun! I really like the level design in this game. The only annoyance was seeing you fight the exact same 5 boss types each stage, with increasing health in each stage. Yes vote. I'm glad to see another run from you!
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

Very cool movie. I'll take care of judging over the weekend, when Quibus et al guide me through verification for the 3rd time.

Only had time to watch about half, but it looked great! Lots of fun damage boosting. And I'm a sucker for games where different characters are correct on different levels.

DarkKobold: most info is already here: http://tasvideos.org/EncodingGuide/VideoDumping.html#Openmsx However, I'm always happy to help anyone out regarding openMSX or MSX in general. You know where to find me.

I was ready to stop watching the run about 4 minutes into it because of the slow pace, but I kept watching a few more minutes and was pleasantly surprised to see that the other character could walk faster. I didn't really have any idea as to what was going on, but the damage boosts looks good and you managed to entertain me for the better part of an hour. Yes vote.
