Not sure if anyone is interested but I made a little test run through Cloud Man's stage using this remake. It basically upgrades the Rockman 7 graphics/audio into classic style, it's pretty neat actually.

I did this for fun and don't really intend on doing a full run. Not to mention the level itself can probably be improved. in the video, the music clicks and I'm not sure why... perhaps 60fps wasn't the right rate to use, I'm not positive.

config.ini for the game (will probably desync otherwise...):
This synced for me with your config.
The music crackling in AVI issue is because this game's music does that if the framerate gets too low, like Perfect Cherry Blossom. There's an easy workaround for it: Select "Capture Audio Only" and check the "Fast-Forward" box to make sure it runs at a high framerate while it's dumping the audio so that there isn't any clicking. Then you can play the movie again and capture only the video this time, then combine the audio and video into one AVI in something like virtualdub.
EDIT: Also, it would be better if other people don't need to edit their config file to play you movie. Is there some special reason you couldn't use the default config?
Hey, thanks for the advice about the audio, I'll have to try that out and hope it works well :)
Also no, there wasn't really a big purpose to the config besides that it was the one I played with (keys are swapped around). It seems the movie plays back fine no matter what Window.Size is set which is good... if I had to play at Size=1 I don't think I could do it (it's a bit hard playing games at a postage stamp size :P). I think I may redo this video and try to get further in the game, and I'll be sure the default configuration is used instead then.
I tried to do an audio-only dump at high speed, but only the sound effects came out; no music. Not sure why :|
Anyhow I did make a new run that completes the level faster, by about four seconds :p This time it should work without any config.ini

Also 4matsy: That's pretty awesome. I'm surprised such an option exists but it's truly hardcore :)
It works fine for me every time, although I do get that effect if I disable either DirectSound creation or multithreading, which shouldn't happen for one of those cases, so I guess there's at least one bug here.
(EDIT: in case anyone else reads this, the solution was "don't disable multithreading while capturing audio", so you can ignore this paragraph of guesswork.) For now, you'll probably have to try it a few times with different options, such as not using fast-forward but still doing audio-only, or encoding the audio directly to 56kBit/s MP3 instead of PCM, or waiting until it gets past the title screen to turn on the fast-forward, or simply trying again with the same settings. If you listen to it while it's encoding and you don't hear any music then you can already stop it right away instead of waiting until you play back the AVI.
Thanks, I was disabling multithreading but it's apparently only needed while recording, not playback.
I've made a new run, Cloud Man's stage is four seconds faster, and I've done Junk Man's stage too now. At this rate, and it's fun enough, maybe I will try the whole game :p

I didn't think you could, what buttons are used for that? (Nevermind, figured it out..)
edit again: doesn't work to switch to rush, but from rush is fine. :|
Wow, I actually came back to this thread to mention that now that things are settling down, I was planning to work on this again.
But WOW, I'm curious too how that glitch is performed. Excellent job :)
edit: I've uploaded the video to YouTube for those that don't want to set up Hourglass

I can not express it very well
I simply talk about the operation
A=jump B=shot
Glitch performed:
1.↓→A
2.
3.←↓→A
4.→
5.↓→A
6.
7.
8.
9.
3-9Continue to cycle
Do not need to change their direction of attack:
1.↓→A
2.←→B
3.↓→A
This time the run are too focused on Glitch,So ignore the many details of the deal.
I believe my next run Will be the target of 30 minutes or less.In addition,I hope to learn the older more advanced technology.
(Translator is shit very much)
Amazing run. I'm curious if luck manipulation of certain bosses (Wily2 Turtle, Wily Capsule) can be improved.
For instance, if Wily Capsule were to appear lower, you could get 5 damage with W.Coil each time, instead of 4 damage with F.Cracker when it appears too high.
Game has been TASed before. A video was uploaded onto Nicovideo. There is a YouTube version though:

Should make for a good comparison at least. And I'm sure it can be improved. The Junkman fight for example looks pretty sloppy.
yeah ive been trying to figure out the glitches in that
version its not like the SNES version
where you can just clip through walls very
easily with Rush Jet
I want to know how to do that fancy sliding clip glitch though
(for example what the player did in the beginning of junkman stage)
