You see all these movies that are told to have luck manipulation, and think 'I wish I could do that' if you're new to the movie-making teams. This is what i'd thought when i'd first came to this site and started making movies (well I did, and would like to know how others do it). Can anyone say their ways of luck manipulation? How about in Turn Based RPGs like the FF series.

In Wai Wai World you can affect randomness by holding Up at various points, jumping at various points (looks goofy so I tried to avoid it as much as possible), or switching characters at various points (again, tried to avoid this). This is a major reason why the game looks easy when you watch the video...enemy behavior is quite random, and in a real game where you can't control them it's downright nasty. In Vice you mainly affect randomness by switching weapons...the jumping thing can work also. In Castle of Dragon and Sword Master virtually everything you do affects randomness. These games require much trial and error, and are quite annoying to timeattack. Try some of these tricks in other games, they may likely work. -Josh
but then you take my 75 perchance chance of winning, if we was to go one-on-one, and then add 66 and two-thirds ch...percents...i got a 141 and two-thirds chance of winning at sacrifice

In FF3, there's two major ways to manipulate luck : -Delay an action (if I enter a battle 4 frames later, i'll get a different battle gauge, enemies will do differentattacks with different damage) -Make an action that modifies the current internal ramdon generator seed. (using spells, special abilities, trying to run away)

In snake rattle n roll, you get different amounts of tail for the different colors of pibbles, and they come out randomly. but the direction i was moving, facing, etc at that moment as well as before it pops out all affected the color. I had to do a ton of dancing on the water level to get the right stuff. It explains almost all my .. erratic actions in that run. Blaster master was mostly timing, some kind of framecount dependent randomizer.
