One of the best platform games on SNES, with good graphics and sound, an excellent playability. Similar to megaman x series. An excellent speedrun or perfect play can be made of this game. I am to old for this game, but I finished it before on a console with no damage and the special trick. It can be finished in 30-40 minutes. Anyone for a challenge? (to perform the special trick, you must collect 2800 points in level/mission 1. That way, the game can be finished a lot faster and easier even on hardest level)

I wouldn't go as far as saying Cybernator is similar to any of the Megaman X games, but this is still a great title. What special trick are you talking about? The napalm cannon? As soon as you get the laser upgrade, there is really no need to use anything else (and at higher levels, it would be foolish to not use a maxed out laser cannon).

... to get laser and all power ups for upgrade, with napalm you could finish game earlier. Zurreco wrote: What special trick are you talking about? The napalm cannon? Even if you find enough powerups in short time you still can't finish the game in less time than with only a napalm gun...

I actually started doing this game, it's quite fun. Buuut, it would take some doing to make sure the path is actually the fastest. It is cool though, scooting along, punching everything in my way... why don't you do the run if you know the game? Too old?! That's no excuse!

I used to play games like dragon ninja, shadow warriors, shinobi, atomic runner, time pilot and similar in the 80s, when I was your age, with good reaction time. Now, I'd like to watch only timeattacks and speedruns, and to remember the golden years.

I tried this. First stage from the starting the game to Touching the ship after 1st stage boss 1:44 I collected 5 power ups to Punch. Boss falls way faster. Any ideas? perhaps I should collect those powerups to Machine Gun instead..

Okay. did the second stage. I haven't got a clue where that Napalm is so I just punched the **** outta the boss. I got a time of 1:40 from stage 2.

HI! I think that you mustnt pick anything in stage 1, in order to have the napalm because you must complete the first level WITHOUT SHOOTING ANYTHING EXCEPT THE BOSS.

I finished the game with level 3 punch in 24:33 I could post it but I made a lot of mistakes in the run so I can perhaps shave off 4 mins of that run :) I tried to get napalm (went through stage 1 witout killing anything) but I didn't get it? where is it in stage 2?

it's not about killing, but SHOOTING. even bonus boxes.

That's the thing. I didn't even shoot once during the stage. I killed the boss with Gatling. Do you need to collect some [W] in the stage 2 or would it be in your mecha in the beginning of the stage? I don't really seem to recieve it in the stage 2. I searched everywhere.

Try killing the boss using only punch, without killing any of those turrent things that come down on the wires (on either side of the boss reactor thing), as fast as possible. You should then have Napalm in the next level.

I tried Punching first, but using MG is actually faster. You have to charge the punch before you do full damage. The difference between MG and punch was about 3-4 secs if you hit all the shots with the MG to the boss itself. The boss falls to around 10 level 2 punches. Or 5 clips of machine gun. I do believe you need 20 or so level 1 punches to destroy it. The second boss is destroyed after 10 level 2 punches too :) but I haven't fiddled with missiles or napalm yet so... I'll try those later today. Perhaps if you could launch missiles with rapid fire in point blank... I do take damage but it doesn't really save any time.

as boltr said, just kill the boss and you ll have the napalm. If you haven't got it, it means that you made some mistakes. btw, the napalm is stronger than the punch with max level or any other weapon : 1 or 2 shots kill the level 2 boss. as long as you haven't got the napalm, there is no point going further imo, caus the differences between a run with napalm and a run without is a matter of 10-20 minutes, even more. it's very easy to catch it. It sounds weird you havent got it yet....

I got it yesterday. It killed the second boss in 3 hits O.o I'm making a new run today and let's see how it turns out to be. It'll be helluva faster at least. But punching is more fun than just killing the boss in couple of hits but.. I'm not really complaining :) I did punch a power up box accidentally first time around so I didn't get that napalm then.

I just did time attack with Napalm.. 18mins 4secs If you guys wanna see I could post this.. Bosses are killed in fastest as possible but there's some improvement in the stages. in Stage 1 just dash all the way and as much as possible. Boss is destroyed with MG. Stage2, I try to dodge all the bullets in the autoscrolling stage then just fly to boss and kill it in 3 hits. Stage3, dash away and shoot the obstacles. I kill the midboss (the laser turrets) before they can change places. At the boss I destroy the Mecha without losing any time destroying the engines. The engines can only be harmed if they are on screen. Stage4, I try to levelup weapons as I go. nothing more. I try to get Genmark to highest altitude possible when I finally "destroy" the boss. Stage5, I skip the Laser because I don't really have time firing it... so.. Midboss is destroyed as fast you can shoot the Napalm at it. The Shuttle was pain in the ***. First u must destroy the side-engine-thingies and then cockpit. I also destroy 3 of those flying mechas and one turret without losing any time. Stage6, First I destroy the "bunny-mechs" as they appear. The "worm" was just laughable. 3 hits and it's over. Then navigate through the tunnels (I think the way is fastest what I'm using). The "bosses" are destroyed as fast as possible, due the slow recharge rate of Napalm. Changing weapons is useless because they are just weaker than slow firing Napalm. Stage7, I hated this stage. I just tried to dash around until health gave up and then dodge and destroy mechas as I go. The midboss was weird. if you killed it too fast the General wouldn't evacuate from the mech and then the game woulnd't progress. The mecha at the "speedway" took damage only when the scrolling stopped. The final battle was easy. I destroyed all the "parts" before going for the head. If u wanna see or make suggestions please tell me. Bah, I'm submitting it. see it for yourself.
