I just bought a new controller converter. It works fine and I mapped my buttons fine. I tried mapping hotkeys to my controller and thats where all the problems come in. While recording I cant pause or frame advance. Pause just pauses momentarily and frame advance pauses indefinitely and I have no use my laptop to go into the menu just the gain access to unpause. More things I cant do with my controller while paused altho can do on keyboard no problem: 1) speed + and - 2) slot + and - 3) load and save Anyone else have these problems? If I could do it all from the controller Vs having to somehow do tasks and actions on both at the same time may prove bothersome, difficult and just annoying. *Note: Anyone notice these same problems for other TAS friendly Emus?

Try using joy2key, or joycur.

Joy2Key is a fine solution, but at least Snes9x 1.52 kind of teases you by pretending to be able to map things to the gamepad and then having them not work. I don't know if that's something that can be fixed easily, but, if it can, I recommend it. I can save and load state from the gamepad in ZSNES, so not being able to from Snes9x without Joy2Key kind of bugs me.
