If I'm not mistaken you need to find the BIOS somewhere. It goes against copyright laws to post BIOS files, so we can't help much.

Sound problem with the 32X core in Bizhawk. In B.C Racers (32X), when you hit some elements (people, bridge, etc), the sound become crazy. (r-a0b2a04c) Edit Same in Picodrive via Retroarch 1.6.0 Link to video

I wanna report a rewind issue I'm having here. It happens on all BizHawk versions that support it. Basically, rewind works as intended when playing normally, but you can only rewind back to the most recently loaded save state while making a movie. Is there a way to rewind beyond the latest state load while recording?

I noticed a bug - when click on File/Open ROM emulator opens it's own directory (not configured in Paths folder with ROMs). Because of that i have to use "Always use recent path for ROMs" option =( Also i very mad about "lost focus bug". Step by step: open Bizhawk, open any ROM, alt+enter (fullscreen), then ctrl+o, open another ROm and that's it - emulator lost it's focus somehow and hotkeys for fast forward and rewind doesn't work (actually non of controls work at all). To regain control player must CLICK on the screen (and it's not possible when playing from the sofa on big TV for example). VERY annoying.

I have a custom location to where my firmware files are located and for some reason I cannot use that and have to use the default location. (It's fine as a temporary bug for me, cause copy+paste)

Been messing around with the newly released 32X core, and I noticed it looks like you can't change a game's region on it. Seems to be forced to "Autodetect". On the Genesis and SMS cores, it's possible to change the game's region. Is there a way to do it on 32X?

Sound bug in mGBA with BizHawk 2.0.1 and 2.1.0. When moving past a dialogue box in Yu-Gi-Oh! - Duel Monsters 7 Kettou Toshi Densetsu (Japan), there is a small crackle sound as shown in the video below. I do not get the problem if I use VBA-Next, or mGBA with BizHawk 1.12.0 or 1.13.1. I also do not get the problem if I download and use mGBA 0.6.0 directly though. Link to video

If dear devs already fixed LOST FOCUS BUG... so it is great! =) Another complain - this list doesn't include 32x. Bug or feature? Another thing - every time i trying to load 32x game BH ask me which file inside archive it have to load, but there are always only one file in archive (with .32x extension, i mean ROM). Maybe it have to load it automatically? Do not know why but BH is loading 4x times longer with Direct3D (Display Method) than with OpenGL - 8 seconds vs 2 seconds?

I've just tried using the virtual pad to replicate analogue movements on the Saturn, and can't register movements which fall between 340-20 degrees and 160-200 degrees.

Could you name a game that it's easy to see the effect of this in?

I tried it with Burning Rangers; Nights is also a good game to test it with.

SlayerM, bizhawk should take about 1 second to start up in any case. If it's taking 4 seconds sometimes and 8 seconds other then you should be finding out why it takes 4 seconds in the first place. Two times nearly instant is still nearly instant.

I have some problems to TASing Astro Boy on GBA! I had work long in the input file, to replace some inputs, because emulator add lag inputs and create desync, it's a nightmare to make this TAS! I can note, that it's not an emulation problem, because I have same problems with this 2 versions of Bizhawk, and my TAS of "double dragon advance" run well! Maybe, it's ROM's problem, but I made some tests with US, EU and hack versions, and problem is persistant! I go to buy, smart card reader & usb programmer to dump my original cartridge to can continue this job! Maybe, some person have a solution?!

You tested 3 versions and the problem is in all of them, so you think you can dump a 4th that will be better? Some games just have lag. The _game_ adds lag inputs, not the emulator.

While I played Knuckes' Chaotix (32x version) on BizHawk, I noted a graphical glitch on Character Selection (Also, It lacks a background): On Gens, It doesn't ocurr: I don't know if more graphical bugs exist or not. Actually, I played Blackthorne 32x version and the Waterfall, sometimes or more, it doesn't work correctly: On Gens, despite that emulation inacurracies, the waterfall looks correctly: (Also, the same problem ocurrs on Snow level of this game version) P.S: Those gifs isn't acurrate. So, that's why it looks slower than normal.
My homepage --Currently not much motived for TASing as before...-- But I'm still working.

If I ask, it's clearly i've not solution! I had think, dump this cartridge, because, maybe this rom haven't extracted correctly! You know, yabause core has the same problems, when I make tasing, so it's normal that i ask the comunity, if you can help to find a solutions & if emulator is a problem! Understand, that all people are not as competent as you in this field! Thank for this presious help and this haughty answer. And have a nice day.

From what I understand, what you're saying is: 1. Make input 2. Edit input from previous frames 3. Lag is different Because if so, that occasionally happens for games; not all games are splice-friendly, which is at times, the reason I take a break when I find a trick that saves time earlier on, since I'm not able to always edit it back in. If it helps, TAStudios shows lag on the piano roll, so you can slowly resync it. I did that too for my Sabre Wulf TAS, and it helped immensely. It's not really something emulator devs can fix, since it this can also happen in console.

32x stuff
Please report these in https://github.com/TASVideos/BizHawk/issues/927 It's where I'm tracking 32X emulation issues. If gens is demonstrated to have superior performance in a decent number of games, we might add that and switch between cores per game
