I finally figured out a way to glitch straight to the credits from the opening. This TAS is so cool, it's ghoul school cool.

Nach: Jumping directly to the end with a couple of key preses without using some unknown glitch is not interesting and doesn't show off TAS'ing potential. Rejecting.

For those interested, this was actually done be going through the game's debug mode. I am curious though, are there many other games where the credits can be accessed via debug mode? I don't know of all that many games where the debug mode can be accessed in general. This just seemed like a very rare case so I figured I'd share.

If you want to just access a debug mode, the cooler thing to do is to go to a game like Kirby's Dream Land, go to the sound test, and listen to the jamz. Since this does not jam out, No vote. ;-)
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. Well, that was disappointing. I didn't see any credits.

I lost patience for this run about halfway in. If you're going to play a game this long, please make it more entertaining. :(

You mean a debug mode that the game allows you to use, or one that's hidden away in the code? EarthBound for SNES has a debug mode that can be accessed using either a Game Genie code or a Japanese version-only glitch. It lets you set the area of the game, and it allows you to warp to the credits.

I mean, I don't know of any other games with a hidden in-game debug code (no game genie use, etc). I'm curious just how many exist.
