While watching the playoffs, I thought of a fun idea for a baseball time attack. The way I figure it, any baseball game will do, as they are all essentially played the same way. That's why I didn't post this in any particular system forum. Here's the proposal: Pitch a perfect game, win 1-0 on a home run in the bottom of the ninth. Any two teams would do, but I think the funniest combination would be the Cubs beating the Red Sox.
Control both pitcher and batter. Each batter should only require one pitch, as striking out each batter would take too long. Every batter should get out (preferably by grounding out, but pop-outs are OK too) except the last one, who hits a home run to end the game. Depending on the game, you could probably stop recording the second you hit the home run.
Since baseball has no clock, this should be the fastest way to "win" a game. Any takers? Which baseball game would be fun for this? The only baseball game I ever played was Tommy Lasorda Baseball for the Genesis, but that was before the days of licensing so all the teams and players were make believe.
