As always, I have provided a release package on my sourceforge project. It includes the movie file, spreadsheet, and Ram Watch file.
Dragon Egg is a Japanese game about a little girl who has a Dragon egg (go figure). She uses this egg to bash skeletons in the head to collect power-ups to make the dragon grow. When it grows up, she can fly around on it. You know, the typical plot.

Improvements

This is a 1477 frame improvement over my previous TAS.
The biggest single improvement of this TAS is a discovery I made in level 4. This is the level where you must patiently ride a raft to the end of the screen. Flying overhead is not possible since there are trees in your way forcing you to descend low where the enemies are (and certain death). However, I discovered that at the end of the screen at the bottom part of the ledge there is a small ledge that your character can stand on (as shown in the screenshot). This ledge allowed me to drop down into the water and fly _under_ the enemies. I can land on the ledge and then jump up. This not only saves over 10 seconds, but it completely removes an auto-scroller level from the TAS.
Other improvements come from general better precision, and the use of better tools such as ram watch that I didn't have back when I did the first TAS using mednafen-rr.

Not knowing the game, this was a pretty nice, short TAS. Yes vote

This looks like a cool game. Nice improvement, and nice TAS! Voting Yes. EDIT: Why would someone vote "Meh"? It's an improvement! Why not accept it?

Agree. I was thinking, "will the dragon become an egg again at the beginning of each stage" at first because it grew up too fast...

Might because not interesting enough, or nothing memorable in this TAS. I vote yes anyway, I like the boss fight.

That's a nice discovery to cut the autoscroller short. Hooray for an improvement to the first published TurboGrafx run!
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

Boss screen transition time seems to be longer than the average boss fight was in this TAS. o.O Voting No because the bosses are too weak. Also, the boss lairs could have done with some...I don't know, variety? They're all the same! But I digress on points of lazy development rather than points pertinent to a TAS. I don't even really know what's going on here, plot-wise, but somehow, I found this TAS so adorable to watch that I couldn't/wouldn't pry my eyes away from it. Being an improvement to a previously-submitted run, and being so cute, this is impossible to say no to. Voting Yes.
1/60 of a second is important; every frame matters.
