Been working on a TAS of a Tekken 3 playathon. Overall these 2 rounds still took quite the amount of time and rerecording simply just to get the right combos and timing in. Kept going over each round to find something that is entertaining enough Link to video http://www.mediafire.com/?3ovt48g9a2ar3oo (Movie File and Memory Card Save) Frames:2756 ReRecords:1043 ROM:Tekken 3 (E) (Track 1) [SCES-01237].bin

I'm going to point something out for you Cooljay now the strongest 2 (with no unlocks) is Yoshimitsu and Law. I'm going to write a move that speeds up the tas under Yoshimitsu (Even though what you did was awesome :D) > + > + Square + Circle = 80% Damage to self and opponent all you need is to lay 2 punches and do that move to speed things up. But obviously if there is going to be a Tekken tas it needs to be categorized under characters. I will watch you all the way, good luck.

Thanks for these tips. I do need quite a bit of good juggle combos for most of these characters to keep it entertaining.

Why are you using a (E) version? (U) would probably have a higher framerate.

Was just unsure if the US one works, but If it does I'll use it instead from now on.

The only category that should be accepted for this game is in my opinion a fully unlocked playaround where the player uses Mukojin to play vs the CPU on Very Hard in Arcade Mode. (Maybe have some Tekken Ball matches first which show off the few characters that Mukojin cannot impersonate). I have to say that I was not very entertained by the WIP.

Oh also would it be aloud if it was 1 round each as it is going for the fastest time?

Going for the fastest time is never a good idea for a fighting game TAS. It's supposed to be an entertaining playaround. And I think it's doubtful using single rounds would be accepted. It's better to keep the rounds as they are by standard.

This.Shapeshifters should be any game's guaranteed playaround characters.Maybe do a VS fight to switch characters if you want to show off a specific ending or combos. GO MOKUJIN
I want all good TAS inside TASvideos, it's my motto. TAS i'm interested: Megaman series, specially the RPGs! Where is the mmbn1 all chips TAS we deserve? Where is the Command Mission TAS? i'm slowly moving away from TASing fighting games for speed, maybe it's time to start finding some entertainment value in TASing.

Well what I have planned actually is. That every 1-2 fights 2P someone challenges the 1P and Takes over vice versa to keep the movie fresh. It's not just only Law in this movie. So I am certain Mukojin can take over for 2 fights just when things are about to get stale for 1 fighter.

My main concern with the WIP is that you do not vary the move-set enough, it feels like you are just out to defeat your opponent as fast as possible instead of really playing with him. There are also many glitches and awkward moments that you should try to pull off in the most hilarious way possible. Don't forget that Mukojin can impersonate 16 characters, (excl. Anna [same moves as Nina], Dr. B, Gon and Ogre/True Ogre). There is really no point in using any other character than him, just manipulate luck in order to get the character you want. (Think Mortal Kombat and Shang Tsung).

It sounds like a good character overall to use then. I will try using him instead, and post a new WIP

Yes, but Mokujin is only available after you beat the game, right?

As the previous posts say, Mokujin is by far the best character for a tekken TAS

Don't use a memory card cooljay because people will complain about this, which is happening already...

Dada, and lapogne36 but then again, you can just write that a memory card is being used just for this type of run, as you are choosing the character to play as.

Oh Mokujin how I hate thee... quick question is that Paul's fighting stance? Also second round looked slower and it didn't feel quite entertaining compared to Round 1 :/ I did like the idea of the used moved but maybe if some moves were altered and changed it may be faster.
