Only one way to find that out. Just manipulate the memory address that stores the amount of money and finish the game.

Or to be even more sure, remove all the money from the game somehow!

It's easier just to manipulate the memory address right before the Dracula fight.

If you removed all the treasures, how would you finish any level? I'm pretty sure your money goes up each time you collect one of those end-level items. That's why it's impossible to complete the game with no money. It's not just practically impossible, it is literally impossible.

Oh. Then that really is a waste of an ending, if there's no way to lose money.

Actually, if you hit one of those characters in the prison garb (I forget what they're called, it's been forever since I've seen DuckTales), I believe they rob you of a bit of your money too.

Yeah, but you complete each level by grabing a treasure, and this treasure is worth $10M.

I think my Virtual NES Emulator is to old, because it always desync in Worl 2.1 with every ROM I try. PRG0, PRG1 and PC10. But to this point it looks great. The funny thing is, I already download the movie file near over a year ago. Not sure why I found it or how anymore.
I used the "virtuanes092e.zip" downloaded from this site and it plays the file ok with PRG0. BTW is there an emulator movie file for the "crazy god technique" run ? So, I can only find the recording AVI for it.

You get a different ending in DuckTales if you can perform the (impossible) task finishing the game with no money.
Maybe it would be possible to make your money value overflow, so that the game thinks you have 0 even though you've actually gotten a lot?

Chances are you'll have to get 4 billion cash to do that.

Thanks, that's interesting to grab the flag the other way around. I wonder if that's possible with every level.

Youtube is annoyingly slow, but I think I saw enough. Interesting the floor-entering glitch you've discovered.

that floor glitch is a well know, and is used to more interesting things than this =P anyway. for those who put down my project there's more and more bugs that colud be done, and plus, the combination of those with imagination, made a better glitch video.

The glitches in that you-tube movie were really good, if you just "un-sloppy" some parts of it it'll be awesome. Oh, and if you wouldn't avoid the Hammer Bros. (and killed them instead of running over them) the movie would look almost perfect.

Not that it's of any relevance to the case in point, but the treasures in Duck Tales are worth $1M. Someone should get as MANY coins as possible running through SMB, emptying coin boxes along the way. Would be fun to see what it amounts to. Andreas

Yes, playing through all levels without dying to see how many coins you could obtain. Andreas
