Nobody has done a Toobin' speedrun, so I decided to.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: FCEUX 2.1.6
  • TAS Editor Used
  • Aims for fastest possible time
  • Use warps
  • Less score to save time
  • Same input from river Warp Zone I to river Warp Zone II and from river Yukon, class 8 to class 9
That's all!

FractalFusion: Well done although the response is less than desired. Accepting for publication into Vault.

Ilari: Processing.

A run so nice, you submitted it twice. I didn't know a game about riding in a tube even existed, and I'm surprised that it's on the NES of all platforms. What a weird game. Penguins in the Yukon, a warp river with red water, and a whirlpool that leads to a prehistoric river. As for the run, I vote Meh for entertainment, as there were a lot of close calls with projectiles and other hazards. Definitely publish somewhere.

Embedding disabled? Game is boring, Meh vote. I think Tengen put more effort into the box art and advertisements for the game than the actual game itself.

It appears he disabled ratings and comments as well. Not sure why.

Heh, I liked this game enough. The music is catchy, and I like most of the sound effects except for the beginnings of the Yukon stages with all the penguin screeching. The game is a little too repetitive to recommend it for a Moon, I think, but it's not bad. I'll vote Yes on this.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.

There was enough variety in the environments and music, and I didn't see anything wrong with the run. Looks like it would be pretty tough real time. Voting yes for those reasons as well as the beach babes!

I'm fairly certain that the courses are nonrandom, and staying at the bottom means that you naturally avoid about 95% of the obstacles regardless, so I have to say that it's no more interesting than any autoscroller would be if you just stayed pressed up against the wall. Which I do know is required here to stay at top speed, but that just turns it into largely an autoscroller with loose controls. Could've at least taken potshots backward or scored some points to make it marginally interesting.
