I have never seen or played this game before, so I really have no idea how hard it is. You make the game seem easy enough atleast, and since I do not know how the game really works I can only comment on what I saw. You don't shoot at the first boss (Helicopter) before his health comes up, but most of the other bosses you do? You gain these 'M's, which take a bit of time to add up to score at end of each level, are they needed? (What are they?? :) You get that weirdlooking rocketlauncher with splash damage and short range. Is that the most powerful weapon? You mostly seem to be stalled at some places where you have to kill some minibosses before you can go on, and also a lot of time is spent on the bosses, so I hope that you did use the strongest weapon, not the most convenient. Other than that no obvious flaws that I can judge on, I wont vote yes yet because I need your answers first :P

well once you're used to the bullets trajectories it's not that hard. I just have to be carefull with some bosses who reacts oddly depending on where I am and shoot mores or less projectiles. about the boss, as long as their heath doesn't show, there no use shooting them. I shoot them because I had nothing to do. For the helico, well it wasnt on purpose. I didn't shoot without any real explanation. the M-bonus are the megacrash bombs and you just help me to discover something. I never realize that it can slow my race because of the points it gives. well I guess I d better avoid them. thanx for that comments. yes the rocket launcher is by far the strongest weapon and there are places where I had to kill the mini boss first, it was in stages 3 5 6. Edit : Well i think there is a lot of improvement I can do. I plan doing another movie. If someone has got other comments, please tell me, I think it may help me a lot.

First and foremost, do not miss shots. It looks very sloppy. Secondly, do not waste time (or shots) on unnecessary things. You won't need points, so ignore the medals. Unless you take damage, you won't need life recovery, so ignore food and life upgrades. The "M" grenades should be useful for saving time, as they do damage as well as clear the screen of bullets (if my memory serves me correctly), so feel free to use and collect them. POW, obviously, should be collected when possible to increase weapon strength and range. Thirdly, have you considered using Final Burn Alpha to try the arcade version of this game? It looks much nicer than Genesis. It is also a three player game.

feitclub >> yeah in my new movie, I m using the megacrash bombs becaus of all the advantages you list. It's getting much much better. about the cps1 version. well I played the genesis version becaus of memories but thats trus the original cps1 version looks much much better... hmm lets have a look.... EDIT well with 3 players, the arcade version is amazing unfortunately I dont know anybody around me who may help playing. it a pity as that version is much much prettier. may be I can play three player in the same time abusing the slow mode.... arg it will be a big headache... I must say that it's easier too. the genesis version thought it's far less pretty, is a better challenge as enemies are tougher.

I think this will be the first 3 player submission if you do it 3 player slowmo...

Doing a 3 player controlled by one person will be very nice and higher a lot the chance to be accepted. Evidently, you need to be very patient but it worth it.

Hi! I played a lot this game, when i was young. So it's very good to see this movie. You guys don't know, how hard is this game without any hit, and without using bombs. When i was watching this movie, i just opened my mouth, and i forgot to close it :-D My opinion is that who say this is not a good video, then you should reconsider it Gather: just go ahead, and make another videos :-D

Why the heck didn't you use the bombs? There's a jeep in the second level which speeds up things a lot. Probably there are others as well. There are times when you seem to not be moving in a composant which gets you further in the level. Also there are corners which you don't cut as close as possible. The game lags a bit at some places. Kill more enemies. So this doesn't happen. When killing a subboss you should be standing at the edge of the screen so you can continue as soon as possible.

thanks for all these advice. In my next movie i ll use a lot of M bombs and use the jeep in stage 2. I m sorry if I took too much time too answer, all your advices are very precious. thanks again.

No problem. If you want, you can post your progress in the Genesis forum and people can give advice and ideas. That way you don't have to redo the whole movie if you made a mistake early on.

this is my new attemps for mercs I take on account every things you told me. what's new : I used the cheat code to enable hardest mode (enemies as fast as player, bullets faster, boss tougher) I used every vehicules and M bomb to gain time and/or invincibility I purposely get hit while in vehicule in order too optimize my vehicule's damages or in order to gain time (ex: stage 2) tell me what you think ^^ take it here

Are you using turbos or do single button presses fire multiple shots? It seems like you often fire too many shots, often in other directions.

though you ain't see it, actually, I cared a lot about the shots and about shooting just what's needeed. about the rocket launcher it's single shot I just shot what's needed. My shots always hit someone or sometthing. the game registers every hits and each shots deals a constant amount of damages. when I shot and aim nothing, it's because I have nothing to do when I m alone with no enemies to kill ex : in the escavators or on some mobile platforms, waiting. or when the boss Is already killed. the rifle is a 3 lines shot, so I have to move very fast in order to change it into multiple way shots and hit more people than I usually could. and when I shoot, I always shot 3 lines of bullets. that's the way the rifle gun is.

Much, much better. There were only some minor things I though of, I'll watch it again later. One thing: I thought you were going to do a multiplayer run? What happened to that?

well, I know It would be interesting to do a 3 player run with mame but as I m not very experienced and giventhat it will be a real headache to control 3 players at once, I postponed it. But yeah It sticks in my mind.. feitclub > right I justy discovered that the some damages cancelled previous hits, well, i m back in the gym.....

this is my very last run. what's new : 1/ I shot less rocket and wait t they deal their damages. actually it save times because I can shoot only 3 at once. as now I only shoot two at once but when there are multiple aims, I m ready to shoot earlier. It sounds weird but actually I saved a lot of time>>> thanx feitclub, your remark helped me a lot 2/ In stage 6, I have a trick in order to go througt the electricity field : I get hit so that I ve got some invincibility and am able to get throught. I don t have to wait in front of the first and third barrier. 3/ I dont use the flame burner in stage 2, too weak against the boss, I use the rifle and at the beginning of the stage, I kill only one jeep. 4/ I pick less M bomb because the time I m blocked after using them is too long. I use M bomb for invincibility mainly. In stage 5 I had to use them only once. Against the train-boss they are ineffective because the target must be above the merc. Stage 5 boss is on his right... I also use more M bomb against mid boss. 5/ while runnig I kill if only necessary. I lost less time changing direction and ran more straight. 6/ in stage 2, I take more hits with the jeep so that, when I have to get rid of it in front of the 2nd tank, It blows up faster. you can take it here I hope you will enjoy it. I will be happy to receive your remarks and comments.
