My 8th submission of 2012.
This is 22:58.48 faster than the previous movie by adelikat!
Everything is done faster in this version. I worked hard to walk in straight lines.
I think there should be 2 branches for Glover; any% and all-stages. This movie should not obsolete adelikat's.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: Mupen64 0.5 re-recording v8
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Uses a game-breaking glitches
  • Genre: Platformer

Comments

Fastest TAS I’ve ever done. Took me 2 days! I just couldn’t resist beating my old pal adelikat. Though, in my opinion, I think this is less entertaining than his run.

Tricks used in this run

  • By rapidly mashing the L button you go really fast.
  • At the very beginning you can move earlier by mashing the Z button.
  • You can clip directly to the boss room of every stage by using the crystal. This was found by Heeheex2 and Fenrikaz. Though, it was much harder to do with the barrier blocking the way, but it still turned out possible. I doubt this trick can be done on console.

Special thanks

  • Venick409: Gave me some advices throughout the TAS .
  • Heeheex2 and Fenrikaz : For finding the crystal clipping technique.
  • Kyman: Found a 3-frame faster crystal clip strat.

Enjoy!
(Note: the pause at the end of the movie is caused by mupen. It's garbage input.)

Nahoc: Added YT module.
adelikat: Setting to delayed on request of the author, as improvements are being looked into.
adelikat: Author requested that this no longer be delayed. Accepting for publication.

Your counterargument would be like me saying that the Earth is round and then you telling me that I need to show it's flat so I can "prove us all wrong".
Seems legit.

Actually, publish this as it is. The improvements are too much trouble to implement and it's only a 18-frame loss.
Just curious, why is this still delayed?

Which branch is this one?
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.
