Is this game a good idea to timeattack?

Having played this one heavily back in the day, I can safely say no. All you do is walk around and shoot and punch crap. There's no real "life" to the game, and you can't even jump! -Josh
but then you take my 75 perchance chance of winning, if we was to go one-on-one, and then add 66 and two-thirds ch...percents...i got a 141 and two-thirds chance of winning at sacrifice

I agree with Josh. I even hated this game when it was new.

That's strange... I was just playing this game yesterday after not having played it for many years. And now this thread pops up. And no, the game is so bad it's almost funny. A timeattack would be extremely boring indeed.

I actually liked this game alright, but sadly, it would make a boring time attack. There's no real way to avoid anything. Bleh.

The verdict is clear. Adjudged to be too boring.

Robocop 2 would be possible I think. You can actually jump in this game, and you need to get a certain amount of criminals/suspects/whatever and a certain amount of nuke in each level.

Starting this today out of boredom. Well, that and I'm really tired of playing Rolling Thunder; I needed a break! Anyhow, I don't know when this will be done. It looks like it should take some time. Check out my progress at the link below. http://24.211.239.191/Super%20Play%20Movies/Robocop%20(U).fcm If anyone wants to jump in and help on this one, feel free!

I had this game in mind a long time ago but I decided to not do it because it's a really horrible game. Unless you find something very cool I'd not recommend to do it. But it might just be me?

Though, I would like to see a speedrun for this game because I remember I found this game hard when I was younger.

That's true. I also remember this game as a hard one, so it might be an interesting run after all.

I was bored today. Extremely bored. In fact, I was so bored, I did the first two levels of this game, plus the bonus "training" level. Here you go. "Enjoy" the movie. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/601237332/Robocop%20%28U%29_bleh.fcm Yes, the best way to avoid things is to use the "block" move (stand still and press select), which makes you invulnerable for about a second or so. You can't do it on stairs, though, which is why I have to take a hit at one place (killing the guy would take longer). I'm also not completely happy with the second level boss fight, but it looks pretty good at full speed, so I can't be bothered to improve it (if it's even possible). Also, it's probably possible to manipulate the enemy spawning so you don't have to use the block move so much (it slows you down by about 3 frames each time you use it). Now if you'll all excuse me, I'm going to shoot myself. (I was unable to download the movie posted by braceyj since the link is about three years old and broken)

I commend you on your effort, but man, this game is bad. The music is bad. The AI is bad. The character walks slowly and does not conform to regular VG character shapes. (Much like Barbie.) And unlike in Dragon's Lair, it's not animated well either.

Strongly agreed. I am deeply sure RC2 and RC3 are a little more challenging than this game. To say the least, Data East (creators of this game) did a horrible job putting this game together.

The game is very bad to TAS. It was a cool game for me when Robocop was cool, but I think the music is the only thing that keeps me remembering this game exists. Tada tada, da. Tada tada. Tada tada, da, da.... da.

What makes this game nearly as difficult as part 3 is the "timer" - they think RocoBop can walk as fast as the timer, geeze...
