Wit's is a Japanese NES game that was essentially a rip-off of the game featured in the movie Tron. For those of you who don't haven't seen the movie the concept is simple. You and a computer player move around the screen leaving a wall behind you. Your goal is to get the opponent to collide with the wall as soon as possible. The game mechanics are as follows: You control direction with the d-pad and can only run on the grid giving a few frame window of when to turn. You can move at a faster pace by holding A. You can jump over walls by pressing B. Turning slows you down for a few frames so a crucial point is to minimize turns. In this game there are 5 enemies and a boss battle of which you have to beat 5 times each. I have completed 2 of the enemies at present and assuming no issues aim to finish the rest of the run soon. Here is my run up until this point. The game is pretty cut and dry for the most part simply turning across the enemies path to have him collide with the wall. A few of the levels the enemy jumps or will take a strange curved path so you must choose your movements carefully to manipulate him to collide with your wall. I believe it is optimal but dislike submitting movies without some sort of peer review to make sure I am not missing the obvious so as always comments and feedback are welcome and encouraged.
