Introduction

Yet another homebrew (an "updated" (with graphics and music) port from the ZX Spectrum version) for the NES made by Shiru and his bros. More info and dl @ http://shiru.untergrund.net/software.shtml (NES/Famicom, Alter Ego)

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: FCEUX 2.2.1
  • Aims for fastest possible time
  • Entertains without losing a frame
  • Tries to sync with the music while waiting for unmanipulatable things
The game is fairly simple. Just like the character's 1px line hitbox on his left side. You can either switch to your alter ego (which has a "travel time" depending on how far away is the two entity) or move left right up down. While traveling, the enemies won't move. There's 25 levels.

Miscellaneous

See you until my next TAS =)

feos: Replaced the submission file. Also judging...
feos: Accepting for Moons.

I made a temporary encode with hq2x scalar and very bad encode settings
You didn't need hq2x on since you 240ped it anyway. YAY YOU DID AN ENCODE :D also Here you go my friend. Next time keep hq2x off ;) Yes vote, wasn't highly entertained but I was entertained. The way this game was made, made me go wtf.

Interesting premise for an arcade-style puzzle game. It's cool to see how much you abuse collision detection and yet don't die. For instance, you end some early stages with your character right on top of an enemy. There's one thing I don't understand, though. Sometimes, your shadowy alter ego can pick up the items, but sometimes only your solid character can. How do you tell which items the shadow can get? EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out. The solid player picks up the magenta items, and the shadow player picks up the cyan items.
Used to be a frequent submissions commenter. My new computer has had some issues running emulators, so I've been here more sporadically. Still haven't gotten around to actually TASing yet... I was going to improve Kid Dracula for GB. It seems I was beaten to it, though, with a recent awesome run by Hetfield90 and StarvinStruthers. (http://tasvideos.org/2928M.html.) Thanks to goofydylan8 for running Gargoyle's Quest 2 because I mentioned the game! (http://tasvideos.org/2001M.html) Thanks to feos and MESHUGGAH for taking up runs of Duck Tales 2 because of my old signature! Thanks also to Samsara for finishing a Treasure Master run. From the submission comments:
Shoutouts and thanks to mklip2001 for arguably being the nicest and most supportive person on the forums.
