Time to post a full speedrun of this cool and hard game :p
The rom used is M.U.S.H.A (U) [!] but the game is the same. MUSHA is the US name, Aleste the japanese one :)
I've done it in hard (there's no secret difficulty to unlock, too bad :/ ) and tried to kill as many ennemies as possible, even if 100% is just impossible.
I've used the fire item most of the time beacuse it can kills a lot of ennemies in a few time, and with it i'm sure to kill nearly everyone.
The thunder item is useful only a few times, especially to kill some bosses.
Concerning the water item, it's totally useless in a time attack run.
The jungle stage was a real pain because of the 3 mini bases with orange turrets, it's very hard to avoid and to kill robots at the same time.
I took some damage at some point to save time but no life were lost during this speedrun :)
