Happy April 1st 2013 (Server), have a legit run <3.
This game has 27 levels that must be completed.
This is an improvement over the last run (18:09.80) instead of being one player it's now two.

Game Objectives

  • To DESTROY player 3
  • Making the run overall shorter than the previous run
  • Get better scores than the previous run (all but 2 levels)

Comments

I'm going to open up and say I tried to entertain the audience than the last run, also I tried to do things different to the last run.
One level I did worse compared to the previous run was the milk level. The reason being I received more input lag since I was TASsing as 2 player and overall my score became much lower... 71 to be exact the total could've been 72 but instead of taking milk I chose to sacrifice 1 for entertainment so I deliberately stuffed up.
I hate that microphone level to hell and back and then to hell again, the max score is 114 and the last run didn't even make it to that number, that level took the most time to finish (6 months to be exact (all the raging and other stuff) ), due to the fact that doing this perfect with player 1 and 2 is a pain in the butt, you need to make sure of all this stupid precise timing on going point A to point B then to C (NEVER AGAIN!).
The stamp level was so damn precise I'm glad I got that done quickly.
In the virus level the setup is different compared to the last TAS, my score is lower because of this... so I decided to show a 3-way tie.
The sliding Beer to that hot girl... I went for the first girl and manipulated player 3 to stuff up (I didn't notice the manipulation until I did player 2's one a frame later) or else I would've lost that.
The running for the train level isn't improvable I got the exact same time (10.62) using different methods... so I decided to do random points to jump.

Other

  • Pick any random screenshot you like.
  • The second player has a 2 frame advantage over player 1 so I use player 2 to finish this game.
  • A 3 player TAS is pointless, you need 2 players to dominate over the third.
  • Since this is more accurate than pcsx-rr I can tell you that my time if I used pcsx would've been ~16:40
(I like this one because it shows off a mini bug.)

Noxxa: Judging.
Noxxa: Viewer response seems quite positive, at 12/0/3 at time of writing. Accepting for Moons tier, and as an improvement to the previous run.
feos: Processing...

Voting "No". We at TASVideos obviously do not support bullying in any form (see objective "To DESTROY player 3").
All syllogisms have three parts, therefore this is not a syllogism.

Glad to see a serious submission in the midst of a lot of nonsense. Two-player runs are usually more enjoyable than one-player runs, and the microphone minigame must have been pretty hard to pull off. However, I'm not sure why both players stopped during the milk-drinking minigame; wouldn't the scores be a lot higher if you kept it up? I like it, so that is a yes vote from me.

If it didn't lag off I think I would've got easy over 120... If I want to kill myself, I will do it again with bizhawk psx (when it's made) since that would most likely not add the bullshit input lag.

If it is an emulator problem, then that's a shame. By the way, the description mentions nothing about input lag, only "lag frames" (i.e. like in other games/TASes where lag is not expected to be a quantity that is stockpiled by breaking bottles and released by doing nothing), and, to someone who reads it for the first time, doesn't explain why the players stopped for about 10 seconds instead of just grinding up to 72 or whatever the max is. I know now that it is an intended tradeoff, but it might not be clear to others.

Oh whoops, it's fixed now.

Is there any other feedback or opinions on this TAS before it goes through judging? Which tier should it be placed in, if any?

I liked it more than the previous one, but I would place in on the same tier than the previous run, if that one had any.
No.

Honestly I don't mind where this goes, Vault seems like the correct choice. I did try to make it entertaining by making a mistake for humor that is (Milk level "dance") and also tried to do different things to the previous tas. (Virus 3way tie|Perfect on Singing (Kill me now)|Showing minor bugs (Screenshot and in one level I got P1 and 2 the same time but p2 came 2nd)). But I hope this will also be noted for Notable Improvement and obsoletes the last run.

Isn't Spike able to encode his own run?
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

I won't be able to, Croc is preventing me to do any large encodes (by large I mean 6gb+) and the encode to the 240p was actually converted down quite a number of times and from memory if scaled up it would hit around 7gb and I cannot waste more space on the storage (especially with what happened with Crash Bandicoot which is still "uploading/processing" and basically that was a waste of space).

Since I hate myself.... When Bizhawk finally adds a psx port I will do this again... as a 3 player TAS I'm going to make player 3 more silly compared to 1 and 2... and I hope I'll be able to max out the milk challenge instead of having those input lags.
