Just a note: Randil's tas is 034700 points xxNKxx tas is 049490 points xxNKxx tas is 049630 points I'm going to come back with a vote in a bit when I have a better understanding about this game and understanding the exact reason it's 30 seconds slower than the lesser points tas. (So I'll be comparing for quite a bit) WELCOME NK!

Thanks ! Yes, here's slower than Randil's tas because: - Stage 1: I must wait for take 10.000 points - Stage 4: must run normal speed for take all points - Stage 5: at 40m, I can't move fast like Randil, I can't understand how to make like him :(

Sorry, voted no. I never really found the existing run entertaining (despite being almost frame perfect) and this run doesn't help me think otherwise.

That was a disappointingly small difference in score to the fastest TAS. However, as a concept I would recommend this as a publication for the Vault, once the author figures out the deal with stage 5 and has verified whether it helps achieving a better result.

"Highest score" runs aren't vaultable unfortunately.

If it's faster than Randil's movie, sure.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

Only "fastest completion at any cost" and "full competion"/"100%" can be published in Vault (a place where we host movies that the audience didn't like), which means, if a movie has a time trade-off, it must be really liked by the audience. Otherwise, it gets rejected. However, if your find can improve even the current Randil's movie, it's awesome to submit it as a separate goal submissioon (if you finish such a run). And yes, update the youtube encode, we will embed it into your submission.

No vote. It's not like a tool assisted run. If you want to get the highest score, you can get many coins in stage 1 until time up. And in stage 4, you can press ← to make speed very slowly. However, Highest Score is a bad idea, please don't try to improve it again.

If the goal was highest score, then in the first stage, you should be jumping back and forth over one of the fire pots because that earns more points (200 each time) than what you lose from time/bonus ticking down. Same in the second level with jumping over anything. Not to mention that you can reset the bonus/time by dying to rack up even more points. So even the goal choice isn't well fulfilled.

Now I haven't played this game so I might be wrong about this. Seeing how it's "Highest Score" wouldn't the Highest Possible score be 50000? Anyways I'm giving it a yes vote. To me it was more entertaining than Randil's.

I haven't been able to watch this yet, but I'd like to point out that "highest score" is not a very good goal, because you can pause the game every 16 frames to stop the score counter from counting down, thus ending each level with highest possible score left. This doesn't make for a very interesting run, however. Perhaps a "highest score without pausing" could fit as a goal? I'll try to watch this sometime this week and give more detailed feedback. There's some more info on this in my author's comments: http://tasvideos.org/1834S.html Here's a fcm showing the pause trick: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1783750656/circus-charlie-no-bonus-down.fcm

If you can stop the timer from counting down, then the highest score is just a test of patience for how long you want to jump back and forth over something.
