Would it be possible to TAS multiplayer games on VBALink? I was thinking something like Advance wars in a 2 Player match or TLOZ: Four Swords with all for Links. I think it would happen if you tweaked some stuff a bit.

There are some topics concerning GBx/GBA linking: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14046 http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4444 http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8581 http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7268 However note that VBALink is not a rerecording emulator, nor are there (yet) any rerecording emulators that support GBx/GBA linking.

Bizhawk is trying to make GBx emulation do link play. GBA, there's no core in Bizhawk for that, yet.

Advance wars 2 can be easily made 2 players match without link. You can watch this. Link to video He made a half of test VS battle. The original VS battle is from http://awbw.amarriner.com/ But there are something difference between AW2 and awbw. eg. In AW2, when most CO use power, the defense +10%, but awbw not. So he stoped after Hawke use power. I think maybe you have watched this tas, and ask for this question. http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm20897508

That was done by using a "Pass the pad" style of play. Since both sides take turns, it makes sense that you can play 2 or 3 or even 4 players with one GBA since it gets passed around. It's two players, but one system.

The upcoming Bizhawk release should support GB\GBC linking. No ETA, however, on a GBA core (or a linkable GBA core).
