Does the gender of someone on the internet whom you will never meet make any sort of difference? Maybe I'm the only one who tends to think of everyone I see online as sexless avatars.
This signature is much better than its previous version.

Nah, makes no difference to me. It's just kinda cool learning something about someone in this anonymous on-line world of ours.

I think it's awesome that girls want to do TASes. Anyway, getting back on topic: I watched the 337 run and I must say it was amazing. Great work Vidar! As for the robot AKA and fetofs spoke of, it's the one on the right right before the checkpoint. You slaughter the one on the left and let off a charge shot for the one on the right but it's unclear if you hit it or not. Other than that the run was stunning. Keep up the good work and take all the time you need. The finished run will be worth it.

This is the stupidest ideal ever. No, not because I don't think females should be interested in speedrunning: it's stupid to think that gender actually means anything when it comes to running. The correct version of this should be "I think it's awesome that anyone wants to do TASes", leaving the gender part out.

Most speedrunners are male.

So what? Gender has nothing to do with it.

Seconded. I tend to see forum members as only avatars and the words they say, because it goes just beyond gender- you might have a 10 year old playing on his dad's computer, or a 40 year old playing in his mother's basement. It's the TASes they make that matter, not the people behind it.

Gender has nothing to do with TASing. Can we get this thread back on topic please?

Based on how long it took Vidar to come out with Corneria, I'm guessing this might be a very slow topic based on the extended durations between WIPs. I can't wait for WIPs though, Corneria was awesome.

Agreed. It would seem that Vidar is shooting for perfection, so the next level is going to take a long time.

Nothing wrong with that, take all the time you need Vidar.

Hey everyone, been a while since I last posted on my progress.

Ah, I got it as if you slow down the video a little, you'll see 2 hit+2s, which indicate that the left one blew up first, and the right one died to the charge after. Onto actual news, I had a segment for Meteo to post, but it got messed up and I'm having trouble redoing it. I've also started school and work, so progress well be a [bit] slower than usual, but Meteo shouldn't take more than 2 months. With that said, I should ask: Do you want a WIP of the finished segment when I actually finish it, or should I just upload what I have by sunday night/monday? Thanks everyone for the support so far, it means a lot. ^^ Edit: Yeah, I'm a girl. I guess I'm glad that girls are welcomed to TASing, although I'm not surprised since this community is predominantly male. =X

My philosophy is release WIPs when you're done with a level. but with your levels taking average 6 minutes per, maybe it is a good idea to release maybe a WIP per half level (there are nice checkpoints in each level too)

I'll watch whatever you have. I'm not the type who has to wait for a special occasion to get a present.

If you happen to run out of bombs at a checkpoitn remember you can kill yourself to get 3 more.

Vidar seemed to have more than enough bombs in Corneria, didn't use a single one and bombs carry from mission to mission I believe

Yes they do. The max amount of bombs you can get is 9 unfortunately, but that should be more than enough.

Are bombs needed in near the future? I can only think of a couple of places waaaay later that would need a good blasting....

Meteo requires bombs to get all the meteors, I think.
