Post subject: desmume desync?

I wanna TAS some games, and I wanna try to optimise some dsm runs on forums but whenever I try it's desync, example: NSMB run 100% WIP = desync on menu Sonic Rush Adventure = Desync in cutscenes I do have the exact same rock (checksum and name)
Current: Rayman 3 maybe? idk xD Paused: N64 Rayman 2 (with Funnyhair) GBA SMA 4 : E Reader (With TehSeven) TASVideos is like a quicksand, you get in, but you cannot quit the sand

Are you using the same emulator version as the WIPs you've downloaded? Several of the threads seem to use an older version of DeSmuME.

If it still desyncs, you should check that the firmware settings (Config → Firmware Settings) are the same as the one used in the movie file (open it in a text editor) and try again. The emulator will not set the firmware settings automatically; you have to do it yourself.

Why couldn't this info be stored in the dsm file?

This information is stored in the DSM file. Like the firmware settings, the emulator does not do anything about it when playing back the movie.
